Also my favorite single disc clutch. I ran it in my turbo Fox for a whole summer with 901rwtq and it took it. SO much better drivability than the Stage 3 puck style. Nice choice.

The only time I like my stage 3 is at WOT...wish i woulda got the 3+.

Finished cleaning the underbody, put a nice thick coat of POR15 on the axle/differential housing . Ready for trans install. Pretty clean under here. Thanks to my buddy Geoff for hooking me up with a nice new built solid axle with 31 spline Moser axles, ARP studs, Cobra 31 spline trac loc,Ford Racing diff cover and 3.73 gears! Paired nicely with MM coil overs on bilsteins. MUCH more suspension to come. The upper control arms are merely a stop gap to hold the diff still until we can weld the subframes and panhard brackets in place

Wellllll as with all builds...the inevitable happened. Fitment issues with the Hellion system. First things first the hotside wasn’t clearing the Maximum Motorsports k member. Fortunately most of you know I keep a boatload of extra parts laying around so we decided we had no choice but to swap out the MM for a new UPR setup. The UPR not only smaller, but MUCH lighter and provides far more clearance. With that said it appears like it will tuck the front wheels in significantly more. As we were hoisting up the new k member we noticed the next issue...the k member wouldn’t clear the pan. So again, fortunately I have a Canton 7 qt pan that I can use with turbo return fittings already welded on buttttt it’s an hour away at the wrong shop. We’ll have to resume tomorrow. Bummed about two things...number one, the waste of a day, and number two the fact that my color pallet underneath the car will be discrupted by a silver k member and a arms! The canton pan is Powdercoated wrinkle black so while not bronze, it works fine. I don’t feel like waiting on getting the k member coated so it’s going in as is! Pray I’m able to sleep tonight knowing everything won’t match perfect! Lol

What about custom piping instead? Or maybe just some massaging of the hellion pipes?
Believe me, the decision to remove the k member wasn’t a snap one. Custom piping sounds great in theory but then I’m again at the mercy of my powder coat guy to get it ceramic coated and turned back around to me. As for massaging the tubing...it was too far off. It would have manipulated the fit of the rest of the exhaust. We’re trying to get this car buttoned up in the next couple weeks. Ultimately nothing on the car was negatively impacted. With that said we will have to fab a new intake charge pipe to mate the fender to throttle body. The MMR intake renders the Hellion supplied pipe useless

First post in this particular build but I've been following from the get. To start, love the build, your attention to detail and the color combination. I'm also fanatical about the little things! All that being said, what's another week or so to get the new k member powder coated to match? In all honesty, if you mount it, won't it always bother you? Just my 2 cents.

so funny you posted this. Just got off the phone with my powdercoater and Mark. You're absolutely right. I couldn't live with it if it didn't flow with the rest of the build. As much of an inconvenience as it is...it's not acceptable to "taint" the attention to detail. Thanks man
