If you're going to modify your car then don't expect Ford to fix your screw up. You have to pay to play.

The fact that this OP is still asking about finding a way around this is just ridiculous. You dont need a Procharger if you cant pay the bill when something breaks. Plain and simple.

I'm not guaranteeing this secondary warranty covers repairs. An extra warranty is better than none.

We used to offer a 7 year/100,000 mile warranty on specific parts when I worked at Honda. I don't recall them mentioning it was through an insurance company. I thought the dealer backed it, mostly because we were soooo lenient on using it. The only one I ever turned down was a guy who bought the car there, got his free oil change and never showed up again until 130,000 miles wanting us to goodwill a CV boot.

I told him no. He ****ing lost it on me.

Any of the 3rd party warranty options we had were absolute scams. I learned that almost immediately.

From experience with 3rd party warranties they will not cover anything related to an installed performance mod. The dealer and tech may not care because money is money. But, once the company sends out an inspector that’s when you will run into issues. One question all warranties ask when you start a claim is “does this vehicle have any performance modifications?”

Honda does that with certain parts. Control arm bushings on Honda Pilots are 7/100k and piston rings on Honda Odyssey’s are 7 year unlimited miles

This was back before the Odyssey piston ring nightmare. I had left but my room mate started working there turning wrenches and management had destroyed the place.

More than likely any expensive fix, like a new engine due to a failure of a rod/piston would have tech/inspector come out and check over ECU readings/the engine before approving an repair/replace. For a Ford backed warranty or some 3rd party. Especially if you have rod/piston damage on a "stock" car.

Hell, Ford sent out a engineer for my 3.5L Ecoboost Explorer due to oil leaking from the head/block area. Were trying to see if they could pin it on the truck overheating and get out of paying the bill.

Took them a week+ to find out I didn't abuse the truck and approve the rebuild. The lead engine mechanic was wanting a new engine(forgot if it was a new short or long) but got shot down.

Newer cars have so much tech to help dealerships see if a car was tuned or not. No longer in the early 2000's where it was tougher to know.

In Dodges IIRC the computer makes a note whenever the PCM is ever removed. You can't clear that code.
