Does anyone have any hints on where to find the wiring needed to hook up lighted sill plates. I would have to assume I want to splice into the wiring for lights that come on when you open the door.

I would splice into the wires that come from the door ajar switch. You can get wiring diagrams on BBB industries website.
Might want to try the specific section.
Do the instructions say that you can wire only one color, i.e. red, green or blue... that you have to choose the one color you want?
