I disagree with that. In 2013 F-150 King Ranch versions had MSRPs of $52k, now they're upwards of $73k, and the trucks haven't had near the advancements in technology as the GT500.

The transmission alone is $25k.
I dont think anyone is paying adm on trucks. At least not to the extent of the gt350 and R model and now gt500. Gt500 already starts high, so not sure ppl will be paying upwards of 150k, one of the highest sold R's sold for around 120k I believe.
I know you own or are a general manager of a dealership. But I've seen how much some ford dealers made on adm. Those guys probably bought a house or two with how much they made on adm.

The ADM is irrelevant in the price of the vehicle.

Regardless of if people are buying trucks at MSRP or not, the MSRP still went up $20k...so the price people pay did as well.

For a fully optioned GT500 it went up $38,000. The transmission itself costs $25,000. The carbon fiber wheels, $10,000. The carbon fiber wing, $10,000. There's your difference... not to mention, another 100hp, 10x's the technology, etc.

0 chance anyone short of a professional driver can tell the difference on the wheels...now, tires...that's another story.
Negative you will feel the difference, this is a weight saving that is on all 4 wheels. Remember, people claim to feel a difference when getting a CAI for their car. This doesnt give horse power but it drops rotating mass on all four wheels. Think of it as getting a 20lb dumbell and holding it and moving it in a large circle. Now get a 5lb dumbell and move it the same way. Shitty analogy, but you get what I mean.
I put wide ass tires on my vrod, 280mm, stock is 240mm. The bike looks sick, but feels like a dog with the added weight.

We can agree to disagree.

The CAI is a placebo effect haha

Remember we are talking about road course. The average guy doing a track day more often than not will get the cheeks clapped buy a spec miata vet. And usually at least 10 seconds off pace. Braking zones miles off, no understanding of where to sacrifice corners etc. Now show me some scientific data showing me one of these dudes truly noticing the difference. And especially on a car already as heavy as the gt500, the % lost is much smaller than that on lightweight cars.

I have more laps in than I can count and ive driven multiple formula cars on different weight wheels and the only thing you really feel is tire

Wow! 25K for a transmission! Is that replacement cost through Ford?

Ill tell ya there are FAR greater things that an average joe wont notice or benefit from regardless of what their ass is telling them. We can agree to disagree again if you wish. Dont try and tell me you wouldnt rather have the full on track pack for less money anyway without having to pull a clown act to get a willy wonka golden ticket... I bet the wheels are less than .5sec difference. Nobody short of seasoned vets are wringing that out.

Not sure if this was a response to me. My take - I'd love to have to have "the full on track pack for less money anyway without having to pull a clown act to get a willy wonka golden ticket..." And I agree with you regarding sensing the difference in wheels.

Interesting to see someone like Jay Leno, a guy that probably has more experience with a wide array of automobiles than anyone else I can think of, seemed to barely notice the difference. His explanation is a bit wishy washy here and he looks like he's trying to be kind to CR.

How mine configures. Shows black Recaros, just the way it should have been, dammit.

The configurator only shows the base model with the handling package as far as exterior views are concerned. So keep that in mind. Imagine this car without the splitter wickers and the gurney flap and you have the car I ordered.
Oxford White and CF Instrument Panel.

Nah, from Rapid Red to Oxford White. First time in my life I ever felt driven to change the exterior color to match the seats...
