Beautiful 2002 Red Lightning for sale

The day has come to sell my beloved Lightning. Something I have said for the last 13 yrs. that I would never do. It’s a 2002 in Bright Red #3373 and currently has 51,XXX miles(will verify and post pic). I purchased in March of 2006 w/ 5,500 miles from a SVTPerformance member out of New Jersey. There are a couple reasons I’m selling, first is I now have two kids and a wife and as we all know the Lightning has three seats, so because of that, it doesn’t get driven much. Second reason and the solution to the seating issue is that I’ve bought myself a new toy (03’ SB Cobra). Truck is in excellent shape, one of the cleanest you’ll find these days and has been meticulously maintained. Oil has been changed every 3500miles and/or twice a year. Transmission had a full service less than 500 miles ago by Circle D here in Houston. It has never had any mechanical or electrical issues of any kind. When I purchased it had never seen rain/snow and since I’ve had I have only been caught in the rain a handful of times. Under hood:

-JDM caged lower w/ 4lb pulley

-C&L upper intake plenum in gloss black

-LFP throttle body

-JLP cold air box and Thunder pipe

-Oil changed twice a year regardless of miles w/ Mobil 1

-SCT tuner w/ tune from Rick at Amazon Tuning Solutions (they have an excellent reputation for strong/safe tunes). It has been running this tune and only this tune since late 2006. Only time it’s been to the track and the last Texas LightningRodder gtg that I attended it ran 12.65’s in Sealy TX. That was 10+ years ago.

-L&S oil separator

-LFP heat exchanger

-new battery last week


Exhaust:

-Bassani mid pipe w/ hi-flow cats

-Bassani catback


Chassis/Brakes:

-Energy suspension poly(black) cab mounts

-Stifflers X-brace w/ driveshaft loop

-Stifflers front and rear stainless brake lines

-DMR spider brace


Suspension-Front:

-Belltech drop spindles/2” pro coils w/ custom spacers

-Hellwig sway bar

-Stifflers fully adjustable upper control arms

-Bilstein shocks


Suspension-Rear:

-Belltech leaf springs/shackles/shock extenders

-Bilstein Isuzu Rodeo shocks

-DMR panhard bar


Transmission:

-Factory Tech Valve Body

-Circle D did a full service 1000mi ago


Take-off factory parts that come w/ truck:

-Catback

-Leaf springs

-Coil springs

-Spindles

-Trailer hitch

-Front and rear sway bars w/ brackets, end links, and bushings

-Caged lower sc pulley

-two sets of upper control arms-factory and Moog

-rear storage box

-head unit and disc changer


Uninstalled aftermarket parts that come w/ truck:

-Roush leaf springs

-SVTim’s heater hose cleanup kit

-Rockford Fosgate amps and subs w/ box (not sure on the model numbers but can provide if requested)

-two-gauge pillar pod w/ I believe Autometer oil pressure and boost/vac. (will post pictures)


Flaws on truck:

-Small burn from soldering iron on the passenger seat-my 5yr old son (at the time), knocked it off the console when I was wiring the head unit ☹ - I caught it immediately, but it’s biggest flaw for sure, imo.

-typical rock chips and scrapes on bottom of bumper cover (have look but they’re there) may want to have the front end resprayed if you want a perfect appearance.

-Crack in both fog lights (have replacements on shelf)

-small buffable scrape from wiper when raising hood

-paint pealing on cruise control buttons and radio/ac bezel

Thanks Mach! I feel I priced it appropriately, though I am willing to negotiate with a serious cash buyer. This truck is VERY nice and whomever buys it will not be disappointed. If you’ve loved these trucks since the beginning and wish you could have bought a brand new one off the lot this is about as close to that as you’ll find. I apologize. The buyer had issues last week with USPS. He sent a certified letter with a cashier check on Tuesday last week and it was lost by Thursday and had to be canceled on Monday so the funds would be available to reissue another cc by this weekend.
