If going NA, why waste time on a 4.6? Get a Gen II Coyote and be done. Maybe add an oil cooler, oil pump gears and bolt ons and call it a day.

everyone knows you don't build a 4v 4.6L for NA. It probably has the worst hp / $$ ratio of any domestic V8 LOL

a bone stock junkyard coyote from a 12 mustang will make more power, better mpg and be more reliable than a built 4.6L.

also i hate to say it but an aluminum 5.3L LS motor is also another option. Absolutely dirt cheap, easy hp, easy to work on, lighter and smaller than a 4v.

I found a guy to do a Manley lower end in it and has done many. I know the 5.0 is the cats azz but again I have a complete donor car that I plan on using, that has longtubes and BBK Xpipe amongst other pricey ad ins. I appreciate all the input

With a complete donor car it makes a lot of sense.
My recommendation is to build it for boost.
Even if it’s NA it’ll like 11:1, and in future if you add octane and even moderate boost, you’ll be happy now and later.

I wound up building my own engine out of parts laying around and was able to break the Cannonball event world record and I’m now top 5 time in the world in transcontinental runs. Thanks for all the advice. 31:47

Wait, wut?

Is that 31 hours, 47 minutes coast to coast?

Here’s a pic of it in NY leaving Alex Roy’s after a private viewing of APEX

Yes Darien Connecticut to Redondo Beach, Portofino Marina California ..

31 Hours 47 minutes, holds both route and event records, and the NY Route is 50 miles shorter.

Care to share a route map? I'm just curious. Also, how the eff do you do that without getting caught by the fuzz, lol?

Be smart and have your navigator and copilot spot.
