The instructions say to connect the fuel level sending unit to the hat after the pump bodies are past the opening. How the hell are you supposed to do that? Once there past that point there's no room for my hands. Also the plastic part just doesn't want to snap into the bracket.

Are you trying to snap the plastic part of the sending unit in after the pumps are in the tank? You want the plastic part of the sending unit in place and just snap the arm in after the unit is in the tank.

WE bolted on the electronics then lowered it in with the arm disconnected. Put the float arm in tank then pulled the hat back up enough to attach the float arm. If that made sense. So both are in not attached to each other then slide up and attach.

Yeah. I walked away after getting frustrated and when I came back things seemed a little clearer. The instructions say "level sender". So I was reading it as the whole plastic piece.

Thanks guys.

This has been running through my head. On your set up did you use the factory bracket? If so I would prefer that. For the one I'm using I have to remove the white plastic piece from the stock bracket and clip it to the Fore bracket.

Sometimes it's best to walk away and reevaluate it later. I've done this quite a bit when things don't go right and get frustrating.

I don't miss the weekends of working on my daily knowing I had to get it done to get to work. Its nice knowing I can leave it for a few days if need be.

I should add I got it installed yesterday. Had to clean off some flashing but it went together easily after that.
