I was going through my computer last night and found this video from a few years back when I ran into a Ferrari 458 on the highway. I was driving back from a car show with my dad (the 89 year old owner of the cobra) when we ran into this yellow 458. Before leaving the car show I wanted to get a video of me doing a rolling burnout so I mounted the gopro to the back of the car facing forward. This worked out perfectly! We were driving slowing down the highway as usual trolling for anything willing to have a go. This is what my dad an I do for fun lol. I noticed a yellow car with bright xeon lights coming up behind me quickly and I thought "nice we can race this vette." But as the car got closer I noticed how wide it was and thought thats no vette. I was in the left lane and moved to the middle lane to let him by. As he approached I dropped into 3rd and pulled even with him cracking the external wastegate in his ear to get his attention. We ran into some traffic and had to slow down so I was able to line up next to him. We did a quick pull but get caught up in traffic again. The video starts when we get a clear break, you can hear the 458 down shift and then take off. I get on it a second later and the rest is self explanatory. At the time the cobra was a built MMR motor with a 67mm Billet Precision Turbo making about 600hp at 14PSI.

Enjoy!!

Nice man.

I have to be honest, even though it got beat pretty decent, it stuck there for longer than I expected. Their transmissions must make quite the difference.

I've driven 1 before, they have no downtime between shifts and they are geared very short.

Nice vid. I hope to someday run some exotics but there are none around me. Closest thing was a turbo cayenne that I ran into in my hellcat but he did not want to play.

Short....but sweet, video. Nice kill! I miss back in 2003-2006ish when we saw so many videos posted here of Terminators vs. everything else, including exotics. That was a nice 458.

Looked like he stopped his pull and came around pretty cleanly but I see what you're saying.

Pretty awesome kill, OP. Always fun to put a Ferrari notch in the belt.

This was back in 2016ish, and yea they used to hang on the other side of the underpass. It was worth the risk, hell running from the cops on top of that would have made for a better story.

Your dad is 89 and enjoying this? That is the coolest thing I've read all week.
