Does Dodge care to have an answer for the GT350? I don’t think they do because let’s be real for a minute......the very same people who build the Viper ACR are more than capable of building a car that will go around, and not just down a track.

At this point every Challenger and Charger they sell and every additional vehicle they drop the “hellcat” power plant into is just $$ in the bank for them.

It’s the oldest platform of the 3 and yet it continues to climb in the sales department and was the only one to post a gain in sales last year if I’m not mistaken.

That also being said, they don't even have a platform currently that could challenge a mustang around a corner, so they couldn't make it even if they wanted to, but that's neither here nor there at this point.

GT500 is going to twist some Fiat **** panties up. Similar 1/4 mile performance as a stock Demon and Viper road course times in one package for less dough than either of the two Fiats.

Nobody is bashing dodge, we’re trying to talk about what a pump gas demon off the showroom runs compared to a gt500. We’ll get to track prepped gt500’s vs crate demons once the cars are out.

Run a negative density altitude at a fast track with half the track+ covered with VHT just to get one hero run on an aftermarket and warrantied vehicle.

VS running a predetermined track regardless of temp or other poor conditions and allowing all the writers to hot lap the off the showroom floor stock vehicle over and over again.

Which one gives the public a better idea of true capabilities?

In saying this the main problem for Ford is they don’t have a base drivers car that is cost effective. 3 or 4 years ago the Mustang GT PP1 with Recaros was $35k msrp. Now you can’t get recaros with the PP1 and it cost $41k. The PP2 with recaros cost $47k. That’s crazy. It should be under $40k for the first and $41/42k for the second with no other options.

That’s what makes the Scat choices so great.

I wouldn’t daily it but I’d drive it. I’d daily a red eye.
My scatpack is the best daily I ever had.
