I have heard about the mileage charge. I thought it would be the mileage since the first issue related to the lemon claim, not from starting of ownership. Either way, if I got to this point, I do not think it would go well as I am sure there is so much legal BS to make it pointless to try. ...

I have done two returns under the Virginia Lemon Law. In both cases, I got a 100% refund on the new retail price of that exact vehicle. However, I was billed 100% of every mile I put on it, based on the OD disclosure at the time of sale.

One of them cost me $5k in miles, but the dealer I was working with was generous and took the $5k off of a replacement vehicle that I bought.

Honestly every mustang I have ever owned (5) has had rear end whine to some extent...I only drive manual so I am sure my aggressive driving, shifting probably shares some of the blame.
Yup...if I drop it down a gear and bump the rpms up over 3k it goes away...then my fr500 open up and sound glorious so it's not that bad lol

Lol, definitely... no ****ing shit, they whine like a liberal...

I had gotten so used to this in my GT500 that I did not even hear it. Took my buddy for a cruise and first thing he said was "WTF is wrong with your car?"

Surprisingly, the FRPP 4.10s Ive installed have been relatively quiet. They dont have nearly the same launches on them as the 3.73's. I can tell you though, after 2-3 launches, the 3.73s were loud. Then I did upgraded UCA and LCAs and jesus christ did they howl.

That's horrible OP. Sorry to hear about the mishaps. Hopefully you are keeping everything documented.
I think the EVAP issue runs wild with the FCA family. I had that same issue in my last Ram truck, (a 2005 Ram Daytona 4X4, rcsb), and a lot of others had as well.
All for nothing though, I WOULD LOVE to get myself a brand new Hellcat Charger for a daily driver, but I can't bring myself to get one with winters here, unfortunately.
Good luck going forward.

I had to replace and entire gas tank on a Wrangler JK (used car refurb) because of a faulty EVAP fitting. Damn thing was molded into the tank so to properly fix it, it needed complete replacement. If it were my personal car, Id just epoxy the crack and call it a day. Far be it from me to let a gravy job like that leave hehe.

That's EXACLY how they fixed my issue. They replaced the entire tank and contents.
No issues after that.

I've had similar dealings with mopar products as well. Back in 08 I rented an 08 charger to drive up to new jersey to pick up some supercoupes. It was a perfect opportunity as I was interested in the chargers at the time. With only 2k miles on the clock the front passenger suspension was making noise and the rear brake caliper was sticking. That ended my quest there.

Then a few years later I learned of the lifetime warranty. Have a friend that has had several transmissions and engines replaced in his vehicle for free over the years. Also had another friend that got his suspension all replaced for free. My cousin just bought 18 ram last year with the lifetime warranty and has recently considering selling it.

We also have an 06 chrysler 300 awd shop car with a built 5.7 cammed hemi and that piece of junk is garbage. It had the dreaded fuel tank recall that would cause the engine to stall repeatedly. It took me 3 hrs to travel 4 miles one day in that heap.

NEVER AGAIN

For sure, I have been digging up the service records lately and organizing info. I can live with the prior issues; they were concerns that were leading me to selling/trading before the powertrain warranty was up.

I'm dumbfounded on the fuel issues. I can hear a pump running so would make me thing its not a fuse. When I had my TVS 5.0, the BAP was popping fuses under load but cannot recall if the pump ran or not. Something is very amiss in my HC to keep getting this.

That sucks to hear. I actually liked my pre 2000 Dodge Truck but pretty much any ~2006 FCA that I had proved to be plagued with issues. I do not see any FCA in my future.

They've gotten better in the last 11 years. Definitely sucks to get a lemon, but I've been a longtime member of the major Hellcat forums and have not seen a lot of chatter about huge reliability or quality issues. The supercharger whine and some other less serious issues are well known. No different than the MT82 issues, numerous Ecoboost issues etc on Fords. Probably the worst car I've ever owned was my 2012 Mustang GT I absolutely hated it. I bought a 2013 Boss 302 recently and time will tell if my bad taste from Ford repeats itself.

What did you hate about your 12? I really liked my 14 GT.

Approaching 29k on my 2016 Hellcat Charger. No issues except the rear has some mild whine, nothing like my GT500 8.8s (now silent with the Strange 9”).
I used to avoid Dodges like the plague but my ‘14 Ram Laramie and a Hellcat, plus the wife’s two Pacificas have made us happy, no major issues.
Sorry to hear OP, most Hellcats have been solid.

Hated the MT82 (still hate it on my Boss 302). It felt slow so I installed the Ford Racing Tune because I wanted to keep the warranty. The tune woke the car up, but it pinged like crazy. Car just had poor fit and finish. The Boss seems better.

-118k trouble free miles on my 2010 grand Cherokee before we traded it in.

-128k trouble free miles on the 2014 grand Cherokee before I divorced the ex and she took it with her (I’m guessing close to another 40k on it probably)

-102k trouble free miles on the 2016 hellcat currently.

I’m soon to be in the market for something new (the hellcat isn’t quite roomy enough for 2 kids and an English mastiff) and I’m going to be hard pressed not to pick up a 2020 trackhawk.

Or maybe a challenger Redeye and a crew cab ram.

I feel for OP. Sounds like he got completely shafted with a “random error” vehicle but as others have said FCA products today are nothing like they used to be.

I got 127k out of a 700+ rwhp 2011 GT500 though (only killed a clutch but that was after 70k miles) so I’ve been lucky no matter the brand.
