Which is the better car in your opinion. It will not be a daily driver. Just a weekend cruiser to enjoy, maybe take to shows or cars and coffee. I plan on finding a low mile, stock car, keeping it that way and enjoying it the way it was made. Maybe I'd do minor bolts-ons. I have narrowed it to these two trims and they are priced pretty closely.

What would be the better buy, better driver, more enjoyable/exciting one to own? Thank you

If you’re keeping it stock then I’d go for the boss. Looks better(subjective), handles better, has better creature comforts and similar power levels as a terminator.

If you want people to look at it, then a Terminator; S550 mustangs are a dime-a-dozen and I don't even bother looking at them at car shows.

But the Boss is a better CAR - way nicer than Mustangs build on the old Fox platform.

Roadrunner FTW. It’s the better car. I hope to buy one, one day.

He’s looking at a s197 boss. Far better looking than any s550 IMO

I was facing the same decision before I bought my car. I really thought I wanted the 302 more - newer, better features, better handling, maybe a little faster stock, etc... In the right color, I liked the styling more too. I just was not nearly excited at the prospect of buying one as I was a Terminator. I don't know, I guess I'm weird...

I was at a cars and coffee yesterday and there was a Grabber Blue 302 (which was the holy Grail when I was looking) and I did not feel an ounce of buyer's remorse. It was cool to see but it really solidified that I made the right choice. My car ended up getting a lot more attention too, but that's not the point... ;)

I own both and if you want a daily pick a BOSS302 all day. Don’t get me wrong I love my terminator and the blower whine, raw power is spectacular. The old technology will sway u towards the boss302 and of course the smooth power curve and how quiet the ride is. For a daily hands down pick the 302 and for a weekend bruiser pick the terminator.

The cobra is a great Weekend cruiser. I have never driven a boss so I would say drive both and see which one you like.

I appreciate all the replies. I thought it'd be a little more evenly match but looks like overwhelming majority say Boss.

I'm looking at this one boss under 15k miles priced at $30k. It's had 3 owners tho. Do you think that's an issue? Also, the MT-82 makes me a little nervous. It's tough to know if those owners beat on it.

The MT 82 isnt that great. But most of it is related to clutch issues. The bosses did get a better clutch vs the gt.
Suggestions drive the car. Go through all the gears a good amount. Then decide

Having daily driven both I would say the boss as well.

Be sure you drive the boss long enough to verify it doesnt have any stumbling or light throttle misfires. Ive seen numerous of them with that problem for some odd reason it appears to be boss specific.
