Tony,

As you know; you'll love the ZR1. It should not disappoint by any stretch of the imagination in looks or performance. What combo/options did you order? When I purchased my '19 Z06 earlier this year (long beach red) the dealer had a Shadow Gray Metallic ZR1 on the showroom floor that was about $50K more than my Z06. Man it was tempting for sure, but I went with the Z06 simply due to price point and for the fact that I most likely would never be able to use the ZR1's (or even Z06) potential on the road to justify the cost difference. Not only that, but my wife would have kill me with a high car payment, and also knowing my racing days are behind me.
I had thoughts about waiting for the up-and-coming GT500, but Ford was so slow at releasing information on the car, the fight to find one the way that I would want it without paying ADM, and the fact that I like a removable roof, I decided to go with the lighter weight sports car.

Totally understand why you chose to go with the ZR1. Gorgeous car. I love the color, but like you would have preferred Shadow Gray Metallic. Enjoy it!

The Gray would've done it for me on the car I bought. When I found the one I purchased and went over the specs everything was there that I wanted if I was ordering one then the color stopped me. I wasn't thinking of white at the time and was going to let it go but I went on Chevy's site and built the car to see it and after a few days of mulling it over I accepted the white color of my car.

It makes all the CF parts pop and stand out, + I've had too many Gray cars and was longing for a change so white it is, might be a PITA to keep it nice looking however so we'll see.

I'll be honest in that I didn't care for the Shadow Gray Metallic that much because it has too much of a blue/green look to it. I like the white/black accents any day.
The Watkins Glen Grey Metallic OTOH is an awesome color but wasn't offered for 2019.

It wasn't till I had my neck snapped in this one that I had any interest in white or a black roof. I called Nick and changed my order as soon as I could. My only wish would be to have all the fiber the ZR1 gets too. The GT500 could use a boatload of it.

I don't see the criticism aimed at Ford as being unfair at all. They earned it. The only enjoyable part in the whole process of attempting to obtain a GT500 has been the gentleman that ordered mine, Nick. Without him I wouldn't be ordering one.

Dayum, the C8 was there too. This could have been epic had they both been out there at the same time...

19 Zr1 hits 170mph
Gt500 157mph with VG Jr

Not bad for a mustang.

Z06 hits 150 so I'd say its punching above and below its weight (hehe)

So it ran an 11.3@127 on the 4s tires in a high DA. Sounds promising?

saw that, and saw some comments it was around 74deg and 1500-2000DA at that time. she's gonna hit 10s

If that is the case, I would expect a half second and several mph improvement in better air. The car should be capable of 10.8's or slightly better at 130-132mph which is excellent for a vehicle designed to be a jack of many trades.
