Recently my mcloud rst started slipping under heavy acceleration but I'm only at 471 whp and I'm not so sure its the clutch. Occasionally it engages wayyy lower than it used to. It normally engages about 2/3 of the way up but sometimes it starts to engage like an inch off the floor... I was thinking it is the throw out bearing. lemme know what you guys think

Hows the condition of the cable? Possibly stretched? What about the condition of the fork?

Brand new bbk clutch cable with quadrant and firewall adjuster, but I cannot speak for the condition of the fork. could it be the fork?

I'll look at getting a mcloud fork and a new throw out bearing cause there should be no reason an rst should be slipping with 471hp lol

correct, there should be no slipping. inspect the fork. also maybe contact mcloud. I have heard that some that run the mcloud twin disk on the SN95 cars may need a adjustable clutch fork pivot stud.

When disengaged the throwout bearing should not be resting against the clutch fingers. If it is, the clutch could not be fully engaged and you will wear out the throwout bearing really fast. You should be able to see a slight gap.

This can be caused by over-tightening the adjustable cable or bad cable that is binding in the housing.

If you confirm the throwout bearing is fully disengaged, contact Mcleod.
