My pup isn't quite a "giant dog breed" but he is 50% Rottweiler & 50% Doberman and sits somewhere between 120-130lbs at about 1 1/2 years old. He has been a picky eater since being a puppy, and it has been quite the process finding a food that is good for him that he will eat.

We have him on Gentle Giants from Chewy.com ($35ish for a 30 lb bag I believe), after switching him to this food we have seen a significant difference in his coat and he loves the food.

I feed my dogs raw, 90% meat and bone with 10% mixed vegetables. Occasional rice, added oils, eggs, whatever. Mix it up. Occasional organ meat. We actually use chicken necks as a base for the last few years, mixing in a lot of what we get from our own gardens. Throw in yams, carrots, ect.
It works out well and is much cheaper than store bought, and way healthier if you maintain a balance/variety. I have a 17 year old Bull Terrier, she is still active and healthy. My vet is impressed that she has lived so long. All of my dogs are in great shape. I have a 10yr Bull Terrier who has been eating raw since 8 weeks and he is in outstanding health. And a Romanian street dog/looks like a very hairy shepherd who is doing amazing on it.
Now, none of my dogs are giant breed, but... I was at a yellow ribbon (military deployment) event and they had a 250lb mastiff therapy dog. I sat down with this dog and look like a kid, I'm 6'3". She feeds her dog very similarly and she raised big dogs.
Moral here... avoid the questionable and expensive foods. Feed raw meats and veggies!
