Ash, I can remember going camping with my folks and the guy had a IH that he said could go through anything. Short story, campground owner pulled him out with his old tractor. I was young as hell, but still remember. They nicknamed him “swampy.”

I’m guessing dad’s TravelAll had a six in it, and I can’t imagine how hard it would be to get parts for it.

I’ve no clue.

I was just ogling ’56 Ford F100’s. Maybe if I live long enough and this fad passes on lowering these things like go-karts. Sheesh. I’m not liking that look at all on that truck.
Ah, just the first one I found. Easy to flop in, a ****er to get out of.

Didn’t mean to slam the one you posted. I wasn’t even thinking about that. I had just done a search and 98% of them are lowered.

But then there’s this one. It’s not the one, but it could be, with some better wheels...

I'm 6' 215 lbs would do an '85 Fox coupe. Already setup for carb. Gut the chassis, install the entire Maximum Motorsports catalog, Tiger Racing fender flares, 295/315's on 11" wheels. Mild 302 to give you that chop.

Wait, I'm doing it now but in a '90 coupe....

Parts are readily available and at more than reasonable prices.

Sounds great. Why did you choose to go Carb over EFI?

Gotta buy a house first, but I'm on the watch for the right 4 banger fox. I already have a 89. It needs paint/body and some new gaskets, plus I have a lot of maximum motorsport boxes sitting here too. If I spot the right 4 banger, I'll grab it, and toss it in the corner of the garage. The someday plan will be a boosted coyote with an auto.

65 fastback mustang would be bad ass
Before I bought the Terminator a few years ago I was shopping hard for a 65-66 fastback.

One of the struggles I had in my mind is if it was modded, everyone wanted the sun, moon, and stars for them, and the question in my mind was, does this devalue a classic since it's been molested? And if I mod it to get the performance, sound, style under the hood I want, will I devalue it?

And there’s the whole 55 year old car thing. If it hasn’t been restored, it will have issues, rotten brake lines, rust, what’s under the paint, etc, and I’m just not looking a project.

This is the reason I was looking at the FFR type 65 coupes. New car with old school sound, tech, and style, but you pay Mustang fastback money and more.

It’s a conundrum.

If you want to try to be a little different, 67-70 Ford F100 Shortbed Single Cab

The Twin I beam sucks, so hopefully you find one with a Vic front cradle/suspension already. If not, it's not hard.
