So I know AFS used to make the 03-04 cobra wheels in 18". Its still crazy to see that NO manufacturers are producing these wheels when they are in such high demand. Does anybody know if anyone is still making them? Or how about any wheels that look similar? I am most likely going to settle for saleens at this point. Some are selling cobra wheels for $2700 us which is outrageous for a set of used 16 year old wheels.

The land of commies and socialists!
When AFS stopped making them that was it. I almost bought a set years ago but went FR500s instead.

One other thing I've noticed is that some of our options have gone away for the 04 and back crowd. Manufacturers processes have changes and so have the coatings. If you're like me and have older rims and you need just 1 wheel for whatever reason its guaranteed the color wont match and the rim will be finished slightly different.

It does sound like they stopped making them for good. I remember them being tough to order. I was on a waiting list for over a year in 2015-2016. When the order came in apparently AFS had a problem with the chrome. I was told they sent the entire batch to a chrome company in California to be re-finished correctly. I can't be sure, but this was probably one of the last runs for them. I still have them in boxes. They look great for a show wheel, but they are heavy.

If you want a classic 18” wheel for your car, consider the 18” 2000 Cobra R wheels from LMR. I have a set and happy with them.

do you have pictures? That is also a great wheel
I bought them to put on my 2000 Cobra R so I could pull the low-mile original wheels/tires to store and preserve. They look just like the originals. I put Nitto NT05s on the aftermarket rims.

The aftermarket wheels are about to be mounted:

I was able to get my hands on two 18x9s.. I'm going to run those in the front and put some 17x10.5s in the rear and use those for my cruising wheels so I'm beating up my welds.

I always keep my eyes open for a set of 18x10.5s but they never pop up for sale

$2700 for used, heavy, cast wheels?!

Hell no, I'd go with brand new CCW sp500s if that was the case. World class quality and actually quite light.

For the coin you could get CCW’s... good point. Or a nice set of True Forged wheels. But they aren’t everyone’s cup of tea so to speak. I like them though!
