I wore my Ferrari hat and my GT40 shirt.

I wanted to make sure I was on the right team depending on how it played out.

Good flick.

Kinda long, but other than that no complaints. I wish they would've been a little more accurate on things (how it actually finished in 1966), etc. But overall, I thought it was 90% accurate.

They need to fire whoever is doing F&F these days and hire whoever did this movie. Very well done, entertaining, and fun to watch, especially considering we all already knew how it was going to end.

Saw it Sunday afternoon. Thoroughly enoyed it. My father was working at Ford during the era depicted, and has told me some stories. I was pleased to find the movie didn't take too many liberties in the telling of what happened.

Went to my local true imax screen and saw it tonight. It was amazing on a 90 foot tall screen. It was so damn good. Multiple times I wanted to do a fist pump/clap in excitement.

I wonder if this will increase the value of the 2005/2006 Ford GT? I know my urge to have one is even higher now. My wallet still is laughing though. :(

I was thinking the same about those Superformance GT40s that one of the members here is having built. I bet they're receiving a few more phone calls these days...

The thing about kit GT40s is that guys that will pay top dollar for them want exact replicas (minus the space frame). No "upgrades", etc., to the car. 427 FE blocks are 'spensive....ZF transaxles are 'spensive....

And if you have a Gurney bubble, they eat that up.

If I were to ever buy one (not likely) Id want it set up the way Ken Miles had his set. If the movie was to be believed, Ken Miles was nearly as (possibly just as) important on the legacy Carroll Shelby built.

They loved it. We had about 110 people and rented out one of their 130 seat rooms. Had a great time.

It wasn't terribly expensive. Maybe $3000 and that included $15 concessions credit for every ticket.

Phil Remington was just as important as any of them, he was the reason they could change the brakes quickly.

I remember in 1 interview where Carroll Shelby said a GT40 with a full fuel load was around 4k lbs. which is why they kept killing the brakes.

You know what, Nick. You seem like a good guy.

I'll have a beer with you anytime.

I have a few in the fridge! Let me know when you want to stop by!

I'm back on my hook of sim racing...so I'm sure we could have fun with that!

0 chance it weighed (weighs) 4,000lbs.
