No sir.
My price has always been 58. The people on this forum assumed “OTD” meant 54 and i told then no, that it was 58k plus tax and tags. Over and over again.
So are you maintaining that OTD is before tax?

not to stir the pot too much, but I was at a dealership in Memphis looking at an Audi S4 was quoted a price OTD went in to do the paperwork only to see them add TTL. I laughed and walked out, I have heard of this happening a few times as well, but typically by shady sales people, hence memphis.

No. I have stated 58K every time I have referred to the price. And have clarified a few times that I should have stated "plus tax and tags" (which is what most dealers (in the wild) will say. But a few forum goers insist on their own logic, and they are entitled to their opinion. And that's fine. I don't really care about that.

What I do find interesting, Is that a few continue to harp on whether my price include tax and tags, but the GT500, with its crazy pricing breakdown, is no problemo.. *(below is not including tax and tags)

Let see, lets option one out to the bare minumum -
+70300 base price
+1095 D&D
+2600 gas guzzler
+3000 the basic tech pack 67T
+1375 Just to get vinyl stripes.. When I bought my 08, these were included I believe. So you can add that right in to the bottom line.
and 10 k for painted stripes. Which is even expensive by supercar standards. That's pretty ridiculous.
base seats
$78,370 (plus tax and tags) for a pretty lean and mean GT500 without all the foofy useless options like the $18500 carbon fiber pack. or the cosmetic but useless $1000 carbon fiber interior trim pack. Lets not even take the Recaros @ 1595, to keep the price down.

$78,370 (Its important to note that many dealers will not even let you order a GT500 that is optioned with this few options) So Good luck finding one, or being permitted to put your order through in this fassion.
10k dealer markup -(And this in on the low end. many dealers are asking for more now )
$88,370.00 OTD plus tax and tags (and you will lose that 10 k the minute you drive off the lot).

So comparing that to my RedEye, which come pretty well equipped in base form, its ROUGHLY 20k more before you factor in the markups.
and then ROUGHLY 30k more (and up) after the ridiculous Dealer markups.. (BTW - IMO, If you are paying 1k in markup on this GT500, ( you are paying TOO Much) Don't listen to the BS.

So in the real world, not going crazy with the options, you're looking at about a 30k difference between the two. The delta being about the amount of money it takes right now, to buy a used 07-10 GT500 with low miles.

This roughly 20-30k is an enormous amount of money to someone actually buying the car on a working person's salary. If you are Old and Rich, have an inheritance, or your parents are buying it for you then, this conversation is irrelevant and does not apply to you.

WTF is this nonsense? You do realize that a comparably equipped GT500 and RE will MSRP for almost exactly the same money right? The Hellcat has rebates now because it has been around for 6 model years and you're comparing that to a brand new car that's just being released? Retarded.

This thread is certainly entertaining.
Ill repeat it again that i never deviated from the 58k price i originally stated i paid for the car. The OTD price did not include tax and tags and i clarified that once i realized certain people in the thread were making up there own numbers like “54”. Once i clarified that my Price did not include tax and tags, that should have been it. But this keeps going around and around like im trying to pull some kind of mis information campaign. Even after its been clarified many many times In this thread. people are even quoting me above where i said, plus tax and tags. So ill just keep restating it over and over and over. It was 58k plus tax and tags‍♂️

There are certain members on here (hilariously) just trying to draw your attention away from The original topic, That fact that anyone can infact buy 10.2 second capable redeyes for 58k (plus tax and tags) . Its not that hard to do. You just need to be a bit patient and strategic with the order form, and find a deal combined with dealer incentives. There is one right now, brand new, near me for 61. thats a good starting point. Thats still a great deal.

the 2020 GT500 is considerably more At $$90K. anyway you slice it, it proposes a Vastly inferior “bang for the buck” proposition compared to the Redeye’s price after incentives. The Gt500 is not going to be the better car for everyone, and it certainly was not for me. Not even close.

And someone mentioned i am jealous. I assure you i am not jealous. I was about to make a huge mistake and spend 90k on an overpriced and marked up GT500 from a dealer that wanted to gouge me. bigger payments and a slower 1/4 mile. And i have no doubt that my GT500 would have Been regularly beaten by a car that i could have gotten for 30 k less. I enjoy the Redeye immensely and i know i made the right decision for myself. So much infact, that i came here to spread the word!

and who cares about street tires?!? No one uses them! If you do, youre going to get whooped on by all the DR’d Redeyes.

i know 95 percent of you will never switch. But if one of you even considers it, ive done my duty. To inform you of the vastly superior deal over at Dodge with the Redeye.

My Personal reasons.
-Ability to carry 5 people
-Better instrument cluster and tech On the 2019 redeye.
-feels more like a muscle car.
-way better sounding exhaust and supecharger. The GT500 sounds like pooh.and you cant hear the supercharger.
-better look- the Challengers Have more of a classic muscle car look than the gt500. Especially with headlight from a 2017 mustang GT. Its the first thing you see. Its as if they (the Ford execs) Took a project that was on hold from 3 years ago, dusted it off after a long hiatus and said,

“we should come out with that GT500. Most of the R&D was already done! It will make the new Mustang E a less bitter pill to swallow for everyone.. and lets not bother retooling the lights or front facia... just leave it as is and we can save a few bucks and get it out faster with the old 2017 headlights!! And we will use some ridiculous excuse about the carbon fiber in the front of the car needeing it.”

Oh and lets not forget the ”Golden ticket” to make it feel like you have won something from Willy Wonkas factory , to distract you while you spend your 100k on a supercharged mustang with the 2017 headlights.

You're really going to shit talk the GT500 for using "2017 headlights" when the Challenger looks almost exactly the same for 13 model years? Really? LOL.

OP, I was with you but you made 2 mistakes, man.

1- tried to downplay the amount that was paid for the red eye “58k OTD” (not including TTL).

2- tried to sneak a little modding past us (aftermarket wheels and tires).

had you not done that, most of us would be with you.

I do think that the red eye offers more bang for your buck (for some people). I’d go with the redeye myself.

Very fast OP. I'm still on the fence. Luckily for me they've continued with the $7970 rebate....With your price being $58K, it must be a standard body and not a wide body?

So, what are the discounts,.......16K in discounts? Is it one discount or multiple discounts. Most of those discounts don't even apply to most people I bet. I may be wring, but that's how they "catch you".
Just curious about the discounts.

I know FCA extended the $7970, but instead of horsepower rebate its family discount or something to that affect. Also locally you can usually catch another 6-8K from the dealer.

And no warranry if anything breaks while drag racing, unlike the Demon.
With that said, it’s hard to measure the true potential of a 700+HP car on street tires. So yeah, “stock with DRs” is a classification.

I've been 10.6x with DR's on 20" wheels on my charger. It's stock except for that. My car is still under FCA extended warranty, and if anything broke I would remind them of their multiple ad campaigns with cars doing rolling burnouts through the streets. BTW, still on the fence about the RE as I'd have to give up the CTSV and HC to get there. The V is just so underwhelming in todays world.

I guarantee you, they won’t cover it. Even demon owners running different drag radials are having warranty issues.

LOL- The only thing im “maintaining” is that I said the car cost 58k. And then clarified over and over that it was (plus tax and tags). And that has been restated over and over. The redirection tactics of what “OTD” means are thanks to forum goers attempting to derail the topic. I have ruffled alot of feathers with simply stating the truth, and im not suprised, since the GT500 is so overpriced!

Again, explain how the GT500 is overpriced. The one you put together has the same MSRP as a HCRE. They will both perform similarly on the drag strip, but the GT500 will also be able to turn left and right. So a car that has a similar MSRP but has overall better performance is somehow overpriced? Your logic sucks.
