Your gonna do it cheaper on a Whipple with these deals. But can’t you make 800whp with e85 on your stock blower?

You get to the point, is it worth it on 93

Go for the gen 4 whipple. Best bang for the buck. But 800hp on 93 is pushing it either way on stock motor. E85 makes the power safer

I'm not sure if VMP has a black Friday deal going on. VMP Gen3R or Gen4 2.9 whipple, both will get you 800whp. Just go with the cheaper one.

From what I can remember alot of tuners dont recommend it but it has been done. Also alot of them are running octane boosters as well. You'd be much safer on e85 and keeping the rpms little lower. In regards to the stock trinity yes you can make 800+ rwhp with it but only on e85 if it is available. With a dd149 or jlt 148 with a xba inlet and kb 168 monoblade. 2.4 upper and 10% lower. Twin BAPS AND ID1300S 1-7/8 longtube headers, will get you anywhere from 800 to 820 rwhp on the stock longblock and with the stock 2.3 you will have better low end throttle response since you're spinning the rotors faster than you would with the gen 3 or 2.9 whipple. However, you are starting to get into the danger zone if on stock bottom end with any of those options.

I had a cousin who had an uncle who had a tractor. That tractor was loaned out to a guy who had a neighbor who had a stock fox body who gave a ride to a guy to a truck stop. At the truck stop there was a dude with a 70 Cuda. Cuda was bad ass and painted purple.

Moral of the story...there is always a guy and he don't have beans to do with what you have.

Questions you have to ask your self is how much $$$ are you willing to part with to "make a number" on a dyno that nobody really cares about. Just a few years ago...600 HP was amazing. Now many are 'shooting' for a number that when reached cant be used unless you track the car.

"If I Could Turn Back Time" (now I have Cher in my head for the rest of the day)...I would have left my 14 totally stock.

My cousin made 830 on a 5.4 GT500 on pump 93 so I think I can to lol

I seriously question that.

Before I built mine, the farthest my tuner could push my 5.4 on pump was 740 and that was with the best of every bolt on, 1300s, LTs, BAP and a KB 3.6. With VMP gen2r it was 660.

You aren't going to get the numbers you want on pump without detonation. Do it right and build your lower, get a return style fuel system and run e85. There are no short cuts to big boy power.

......................Not here to debate:
2011 - 776rwhp, - 93 tune, dyno'd 18 June 2014, hasn't blown up yet.
2014 - detuned to 780rwhp, - 93 tune....( made 818, tuner toned it down ),
dyno'd 2 June 2014, hasn't blown up yet.
Would not try this with a " canned " tune, both were tuned on the street.

If I go with the 2.9 whipple will I have to change my hood?
No, the 2.9 fits perfect

What mods are done to your fuel system on your 2014 GT500?

Is 800rwhp a goal or will you use it for anything but roll races?
Serious question.
Also, unless it’s spiked with an octane booster, pump 93 and 800rwhp is a fools game.
The key to high power on pump 93 gas is RPM and low IATs. RPM is the killer for stock motors.

That's important, either plan on running E85 or pump with boostane. I run MS100 fuel to be safe.

Even at 740hp is pushing on 93. Great numbers btw. E85 or 105 octane your safe in the mid 700s.

Can you even make 800whp on 93? @RBB has about as stout of build as there is and is <800 on 93 with 2650 IIRC.
I was at 780 with a Trinity TVS on pump 93, it's undoubtedly over 800 with the 2650. Boost peaks around 15.5 lbs and reads around 13 at red line, and that's all my tuner will give me. No more boost, no more spark - load is way too high for pump gas. Even making baby boost like that I'm scared to beat on it with 93 in there....always go race gas when at the track. You're just asking for trouble making big HP on pump gas.

I'm at 1048rwhp with a Whipple on 93 pump, no adders, but it's a 4.5l, and a built motor. So yes, it's totally doable, question is, is what's the budget.
