I know a lot between the two and VMP is being the ultimate street blower and I don't plan to build my engine.

But I also read the newer whipples fixed a lot of the low end torque issues but not sure if that is true? I also like the looks of the whipple better.

Christmas gift to myself will order tonight any thoughts on which to go with? Gen 5 whipple would be nice but too $$

They are pretty and let's be honest, going with something over stock is going to be really nice either way. The 'ol seat-o-the-pants meter is going to be nice, for sure.

Whipple ordered, I think I had already made my mind up.
Trust me, the bottom end torque issue is gone.

Welcome to Whipple.

Right, I remember our conversation on this. Any recommendations on the best TB for this gen 4? I currently have the ford racing 65mm if it will get me by for awhile without holding up tons of potential I will run it for awhile.

Just scared of the mono blades a little I remember even reading where you told a guy "have you drove one" referring to the frpp one.

thanks

The one on my 11 performed so well, it was a no-brainer for the 14..

Does FRPP still make their monoblade? I have heard they stopped production and that some of the used units are counterfeit.

I will be transferring my twin 65mm TB from my Whipple Gen 2 to my Gen 4. Since you already have a twin 65mm TB, I would start there and use upper pulley options to fine tune desired power level. You won’t be disappointed.

I did notice that also. The product description on the web-site is jacked... appears they copied and pasted info from the VMP 160 & 173mm mono-blade product descriptions. I had seen VMP YouTube videos during the development of the 137mm mono, and I thought it was being sold on their web-site recently... can't locate it now on VMP's site. Maybe they abandoned it??? This option was supposed to be street friendly.

There are a couple of " brand new " listed on Ebay.
............I don't think they're made any more..

I went VMP Gen II-R today. I am super excited to get everything on the car this winter. I have new 56lb/hr injectors from Ford, a Kenne Bell BAP and an AEM wideband to put on with it. Have already paid for the tuning from BJ. It should be a big difference over what I am running right now. The big issue will be traction(it already is).

any exhaust mods? Fuel?
You'll be happy if your currently sporting the stocker
traction is not bad if your @ around the 660rwtq....R888s

I have long tubes with high flow cats and MBRP race series exhaust. The fuel mods will be the 56'ers and the Kenne Bell BAP, otherwise fuel system is stock. I am running Nitto 555's and grip is not nearly as good as I had hoped they'd be.
