I just did the basic bolt ons on my 13, used the VMP 2.4 upper and their 90mm idler. It definitively is already creating alot of belt dust and I can smell it burning after a few hard accel runs. I never had belt dust before and you can see alot of powder around the sc snout after only a few hours of hot driving. Ive only put 400 or so miles on it so far with the pulley upgrade so the belt will surely be toast in no time. It is however the factory belt that has 20,000 hard miles on it and it is now 7 years old. I dont know if it just needs replacing because the belt is old... I would like to get a gates blue one. What have yall had good experience with? I am still running the factory tensioner. Thanks

Ditch the VMP pulley. My VMP pulley caused all my problems. Same issues with dust and was losing lots of boost. I put a BPS on and of all the mods I did to fix belt slip, that seemed to be the most effective.
That being said, I have run the Gates Racing and RPM belt which are the same as the blue which no longer exists. Id say I still feel those belts are too hard and to stick with a green belt. If I were to change anything again, i'd probably go with the Griptech and a green belt, but I don't think I am going to see any better than what I am now to be honest.

i originally bought my thrumpr tensioner in 2015, it broke in july of 2018, i was able to get it fixed under warranty for free only because they still had the "lifetime warranty" on thier website that they forgot to take down, so Peter honored it...... but now the warranty has changed to only 90 days!! WOW, no faith in the product. So now it has broken again this month and i have only put 878 miles on the car since the last time. I called Peter and he charged me 50 bucks to fix. not terrible but still ridiculous. and to note both times it broke while off the throttle, heck this last time it broke was after i just cranked it up to move the car out of the garage and it was just idling in the driveway. I've moved on to an ARS tensioner now.

That is shitty. So much for a quality high end product. He probably had too many warranty returns and killed the lifetime because his product can't hold up.
