Still have HC. Getting a lower, injectors and BAP at moment.

I just picked up my Redeye from getting a pulley, tune and mid pipe yesterday and have played with it some today.

You will not be disappointed. Previously my 720rwhp GT500 was my high water mark for “ridiculous”.....The Redeye makes it feel like a V6 Mustang....

Not quite that high. Right around 800....

But it’s stout. VBOX in the 6.2 range 60-130 managing some wheel spin down low....stock it was between 7.6-7.9 the couple times I tried it.

Will be curious to see the difference in traps and ET if I make it Friday night.

How hard is it to get a hellcat sedan comfortably trapping 145-150 on e85 somewhat reliably?

I’m toying with the idea of building a sedan up like an auto SS or red eye to run easy 9’s on e85. I don’t care about mpg city, but 20 freeway would be ideal.

Asking for a friend who will drive the car.

So high 9s? A big ask honestly. If you want to do it reliably, you are looking at a stroker build, blower swap, e85. ~$30k. Even then probably iffy. Dragtimes has some vids of a guy with a full build charger running against his 720 and the charger gets his ass beat everytime. I think that car runs 9.8 low 140s.

Fat chance of 20 mpg.

That’s a pretty big trap but 9’s onE85 would be fairly easy. Even at the 707 the sedans make you’ll trap 10.7-10.8 on DR’s stock.

DriveshAft, pulley, e85 tune, injectors, BAP, tires is likely all you need for 9’s.

I agree on the 20 mpg but you really think 9’s are a stretch? There’s more than a few on the hellcat boards running 9’s in a charger on e85 with a upper and lower....

Nowhere near 145–50 though. That’s not going to happen “reliably or easily” I don’t think.

They just don’t trap as high as the coyote/voodoo cars.

Guy at our local track had Charger on e85, upper/lower, ported blower, full exhaust, basically a max effort stock blower car and he was trapping 142 or so.

He was running mid-lower 9s tho.

This was in May and our local track is NOT a fast one. DA was around 3750 that day.

Fair point. <10s and >140 is pretty thin air I just assume it will be tougher than expected to do it regularly. The chargers seem to run 0.2-0.3 slower than the challengers, don't they? So OP is looking to outrun a demon but is starting from a significant deficit. Upper/lower/e85/DS and good wheels/tires may be enough although I think you will definitely need driver and conditions on your side.

I think there are far less charger hellcats than Challenger hellcats so the number of them actually getting run down the 1/4 is significantly less.

But the guys that do track them regularly are just as fast as the challengers...

@black99lightning on here has gone 10.6 @ 130 in his with just DR’s.....

The nice thing about going full bolt on charger redeye vs building an SS or so on is obviously ease and cost.

How reliable is a full bolt on red eye with e85 and maybe a mild stage 2 or strong stage 1 cam? I’d imagine 850whp with a tuned/ slightly built auto on a nice converter would run low 140’s pretty well. I’d prefer to leave the long block stock save a slightly stronger cam
