Got the rear drive shaft re-balanced and straightened the other day.

After all new u joints and steady bearing , I had a mystery vibration....pulled rear driveshaft back off and drove in FWD, no vibration.

My supreme powers of deduction told me something was amiss with rear prop shaft.

So called local driveline specialist, they heat straightened it and painted it all purdy black again....

Bam new truck again.

I did the passenger side injectors, stand pipe and dummy plug last Friday night at 267k. 1 day short of a year that I did the driver side injectors. Then drove out to Northern OH to pick up my T Bird engine Wednesday, 6 hrs. Then another 6 hrs out to Indy Thursday morning for PRI then home Saturday night. Ole girl did great!

Was having a long crank issue. Figured it was the stand pipe or dummy plug orings. I was right, it was the dummy plug. First cold start at 19* not plugged in fired right up in a split second.

Now to figure out why she blows coolant(most likely the head gskts) block off the egr cooler, do an oil cooler cause thats not keeping up anymore along with a filter kit, get new up pipes. Oh and I think the blend door motor is broke too.

One of my buddies just had a shop do all of his injectors, stand pipes, dummy plugs, and high pressure oil pump.

Set him back $4500!! Holy crap.

I told him he needs to be doing that shit himself.

Yup I'm not that rich. Now I need to figure out how to lift the body so I can do the head gaskets. Cause the passenger side injectors kicked my ass enough. I can only imagine what trying to lift a steel head out of there is gonna be like.

just take the whole a/c crap out on passanger side. couple hoses and 6 bolts if i remember. Really wasn't that bad. even if it was in the middle of January for me. Just kept thinking how much i was saving from having a shop to it.. Last quote i got was 12k for gaskets, injectors, cooler, ect... did new heads and everything for around 5.5k if i remember correctly.

Think it took maybe 1hr 1.5hr to get everything out from that side. Jack stands, pull front tires off, pull wheel wells. drain a/c system, pull hoses- d/c electrical. got in cab, undo heat core/ motor assembly.
