The service dog thing has gotten out of control.

So many people abuse the rule so they can just take their pets everywhere.

With all the travel I do, almost every trip to the airport results in me seeing some dumbass who bought a "Emotinal Support Animal" vest off the internet or from the local pet store (yep, check next time you go to one) and slapped it on their chihuahua or labradoodle or whatever so they can take Mr. Snuggles wherever they want.

These are the same douchebags who drive grandpa's Buick to the store and then park in the handicap space using paw-paw's tag, if they use a tag at all.

Real service animals are easy to spot. They will stay right up against their owner/handler and remain out of sight laying down under the table or chair, etc.

As said before, there is no registry for any service animal and I support a federal register where the animal has to be licensed.

That will stop this stupid ass "emotional support animal" BS.

When we took our dog on a flight we paid regular fare for him, which was $110 each way. A couple of people at work told me I should call the airline and tell them he was a service animal and the cost would only be $10. Talk about gaming the system!!!

I always liked and had dogs my whole life(cats too) but crazy dog/cat people are fkn nuts. Keep your pets at home where they belong!

That's why we've started to travel by RV. We like taking the dog with us, plus we don't have to find someone to watch her. Another huge plus is the time saved not moving in and out of hotels (I'm not a fan of sleeping in other people's filth either).

We have an RV as well and do the same thing. Dogs love it and its like home for them.

I'm a pilot and the pets on flights is out of hand. I've seen dogs crap, shed hair all over the place, bark constantly and cause commotion so many times, I can't count. I just don't know how people with emotional problems got along for all those years without their dogs, cats, roosters, etc. I get it, I would never subject a dog of my own to flying as a piece of cargo. When I see the dogs in their crates being loaded, a lot of them are terrified. It's noisy with the aircraft's APU running and all the equipment around the jet.

As for the self checkout, I refuse to use them. When I was a teenager I was a grocery sacker and cashier at Target. Unless they offer to pay me to do their job, I won't do it. I just stand in line and practice what I like to call "flexing my patience". Haha

Maybe for those who need such “reassurance”...but, for the rest of the World...I’ll take interactions with humans, over an animal who eats its own $hit and buries its nose in other dogs asses. Then I watch their owners let them lick their faces...

isn’t eating ass a thing with humans ....?

It’s not that simple. Most airlines have documentation that has to be filled out and signed off by from a doctor to support that a given animal is your emotional support animal or service animal.

The system is obviously abused still but all it takes is one person on the air lines part to know how to challenge the request.

I just don’t understand why people need to bring their damn dogs everywhere. Pisses me off EVERY time!

Get a life! Build relationships with humans you bunch of damn emotionally needy snowflakes!

Dogs are better than humans.

What...that you can't interact with a human...but need the reassurance of a damn animal that needs you 100% for it to exist, which you derive pleasure of something actually interacting with you? Yep...PROVEN

In fairness if I left my dogs and my kid outside to fend for themselves, the dogs would likely last far longer then the kid.

we get it though you just aren’t a huge dog fan.

Lol

Versus interacting with people such as yourself?

Yep.

You seem genuinely upset that people like dogs more than you.

Maybe if you had better breath and quit humping legs.
