Back to gt500, anybody see the pass that trapped 144?

Once they shut off the traction management stuff or massage it, these cars are going to move.

There has to be wheel speed and rpm/time or some combo of variables dramatically governing what’s actually causing forward momentum

Are tuning companies claiming to be working on the DCT tuning? I haven't seen much about that specifically. Cant imagine that shits simple

I think that orange one isn’t that bad. He’s making good power for the mods. Now Lunds Racing’s 945whp GT500 trapping 140...that’s weak!

It’s definitly sensors, and torque management and trim/cut etc wizardry.

Stock gt500’s experience some of it in graphs I’ve seen where the fuel gets fattened up a bit to 10.0 when it’s running too hot or whatever, and the curve bumps down a bit

Dip is noticeably there on red pull

I’m sure similar stuff is integrated into the trans and diff heat sensors

It’s months out in any meaningful way. Maybe by summer we’ll see some decent software and fluid/heat management setups. I imagine people will find a way to do some kind of better cooking additive like a water wetter to the trans or diff itself to bring temps down, and disperse heat, might see something like killer chiller tactics linked to the trans cooler, who knows. Heat management is the key. If you have load, transfer and heat, things break. I believe the trans is rated for 650tq at 9,000rpm which represents about 1070hp. It’s not a linear algorithm but it’s likely that 590wtq at 8250rpm to make 900whp is boardering on failure of stock components. Think about that statement though. A tr6070 is maybe good to 600whp on stock clutch and parts. Tops. If this dct is brand new, and alive at 900whp with stock clutches, that’s impressive. I’m 100% positive those clutches are wearing very fast. Lifespan might actually surprise us though as .07 to .1 shift time means it has on average 1/3rd the amount of time of engagement of traditional clutch transmissions which grinds the surface off, I’d imagine that means hypothetically, life span is longer.

Theoretically, the car will live a long time at “900whp” but it’s really being nannied down to 700whp or whatever when it needs to. Permanent safety net is nice for knowing you can mod it and enjoy a pull here or there, and then launch it a few times and know it’ll for the most part catch and save itself.

That said it makes for boring drag race videos on YouTube, but what would you rather own and pay monthly on, the car that goes quicker but blows up, or the car that limits itself so you have a harder time blowing it up

Im not sure what you saw. But two different hellcats (with very similar set ups, except the tune) have raced the stang and one got beat and the other won.

It looked like exactly the same car and the lighting was very similar. The problem is I saw it on someones story on instagram and now that it's gone I can't figure out what to search by on youtube.

Who knows maybe it was a different car.

It wasn’t the same car. Two different cars. One 2018 and one 2019. One tuned by Juan at Taco Motors and the other tuned by a reputable tooner.

The New Shelby has turned out to be Super Fast, Not really surprised If you think about the 13 & 14 model year with a manual shift and then add a 100 hp and a auto to the 2020 it runs just what it should from the factory! Then do a couple of mods and this thing is making huge power... I would love to see a video 2020 SHELBY VS DEMON I bet it would be a Great race....

Not a demon, but 960whp vs 810whp.

They’re starting to work around tcm stuff.

A roll is not going to set off the nannines like a dig.

That video is 100% supported by the left. Notice how the exaggerate the HC numbers and down play the 500s. Notice how he notes HC numbers as RWHP and then he mislabeled his numbers as just flywheel.

@LostM is just playing your game. Also, that GT500 is max effort right?

Not sure why you have a chip on your shoulder with the new GT500. Is driving a tacoma that boring?

Should we post all the "excuses" memes he posted up in the other thread?
