To anyone who has been running one of these drive shafts for a while and taken it out and inspected the rear end CV joint. Does your rear CV joint have play like this? Mine has about a 1/16" of play back and forth and I think it might be bad/going bad.

Finally got around to installing this adapter on my 2012 (about a month ago).

It was way easier than I thought it was going to be.
Took about an hour total.

That old 2 piece driveshaft weighted a ton compared to the newer CF shaft.

Thanks BlackBolt9 for making this possible.

Well, it's been 6 months and I still have 8 of them sitting on the shelf. So this is definitely gonna be the last time I make a batch of them. Get one while you can, just in time for Christmas!! Best to call or email rather than send me a message on here, since I don't log on all that often these days.

I have a new in box factory '13/'14 GT500 CF driveshaft and new adapter available if anyone is looking to do this. Not without caveat - not gonna ship. I'm in Upstate, NY, so if you're interested shoot me a pm.

I should add that I got ahold of a dealer service contact and asked about the availability of this driveshaft. It is now obsolete.

Tob - FWIW, I recently had a $1800 offer from a 2013/14 owner for my NOS 2013/14 CF driveshaft plus shipping, but when I figured out that the aftermarket CF driveshaft makers only offer the CV joint at one end and a flange at the other end requiring an adapter, and I have all of the parts to put this oem CV-CV CF shaft in a 2007-2012 including the replacement correct spline CV cup for the trans. end, I chose to hold off on selling it, because I may install it in my 2008 Super Snake.



He said that I could keep everything else in the picture shown above, he just wanted the CF shaft.......
