Except it didn't because paint doesn't just do that unless 1) it was a faulty batch of base or clear in which the fault would have been found within days of painting or 2) it was tampered with and in that case any painter or shop would know within seconds of looking at it. In 3 years time white pearl won't turn yellow under natural circumstances.
