Video is pretty lame. GT500 definitely wasn't ready for prime time. 2.0 60'. Really? Wait until they get it to hook 144 mph vs Demon's 132 mph.

On a prepped track with tire. In mexico, spinning aint winning.

Everyone above, my point is the gt500 is a better all around car. I like cars better like that. I think I would even rather have a GT350 bc flat plane crank and 6 speed. It is fast for na, but a lot of cars will beat it dragracing. Overall I think it would be more enjoyable driving.
What exactly is "all around"?

For me that includes reliability, mod-ability, comfort, styling, street manners, trunk space and catastrophic failure recovery.

Puking a block or transmission will be financially more painful on a GT500.

6.2 and 8HP90 are both proven systems with established limits.

Challenger is better looking and more comfortable then a S550.

I suspect the Redeye's dynamic suspension is more supple and street friendly then the GT500's road course focused setup.

So I'd argue the HCRE is the better "all around" package with the GT500 making to many concessions to be a European sports car.

The GT500 will never have the feel, finish, styling or quality of a Cayman GT4, regardless of how much faster it is.

I guess the Demon isn't allowed the same 200HP of bolt-on's that the 500 had. It probably could do a bit better than 132. I have a feeling that 60 times approaching what the Demon is capable of is really going to tax that DCT.

The Demon is clearly the better drag car. Let's end that argument right now. It was NEVER advertised as anything but that, so not sure about all this better overall car bit. Seems like an attempt to deflect from the topic being discussed.

Let's not forget......Ford were the one's running their mouth's and picked this fight.

I don't know what happened to my post on here, it got deleted. The GT500 ran the same time as a GT3 RS on a road course. It at the same time runs 10's stock, which is not slow, all while weighing over 4000lb.

It can do everything. If you truly "respect cars" the GT500 is better.

Dedicated Drag Car? If u think the Redeye is a version of a "Dedicated Drag Car" id say ur experience with dedicated drag cars is extremely limited.

First of all the dedicated drag car was SLOWER than the so-called road course car but quicker so ur rain falling from the sky comment sounds utterly dumb!

Second, the DEMON was a so-called dedicated drag car and still the furthest thing from a dedicated drag car in the world of Car Racing! The Redeye is no different than he Hellcat with a little more power so ur knowledge of what a Dedicated Drag Car claims to be is comical!

Both cars are nearly identical in power.

you’re taking this too literally. The demon was sold as a turn key test n tune drag car for the average joe to buy, go click off 9s and not have to worry about it if it brakes.

no need to over think it and frankly dodge just build a true drag only model as well.

all-around
having many abilities, talents, or uses; not specialized; versatile
considering everything; all in all

Good video, I think if the GT500 was on a M/T SS tire out back it would have been a close race.

Wut? At the end of the day you’re comparing a STOCK Demon to a nicely modded GT500. Throw those same mods on that demon and it’ll damn near be running 8’s. Consistently. With 1.3 60fts. Not that inconsistent garbage the GT500 does out of the hole. Do a damn burnout for too long and the cars going into limp mode. “Venom kills Demons” LOL

This is the only video ive seen of a redeye and GT500 racing from a roll. Surprised me honestly. I thought it would have been the other way around. Roll race starts at 17:00

Maybe I didn't quite articulate my opinion clear enough. I said the ""VIDEO"" was lame. All this faggity YouTube hype about GT500 VS Demon, 10 minutes to build up to 2 races where l said " GT500 wasn't ready for prime time". So calm down, don't hyper ventilate, no one is insulting your phallic Mopar obsession. All's good.

Fixed for you.
I was discussing same with a coworker.
Now that he’s divorced, he’s looking at a GT350 but as I told him...after driving it, to me it feels down 200hp.
In a good way, as in the chassis and tires and brakes can actually use the extra power.
With the quality of Hellion and Whipple kits, and the engine upgrades on the ‘19-20 350s, it’s a great option for those who want a stick.

haha! Nice find, Sir.

Redeye is so damn impressive.

Dodge really pissed all over every other manufacturer when they brought the cats out.

Watch out though, you gonna start giving the cries to the “Fail On Race Day” fans. They melt down faster than Hilary voter base.
