What?

So ford is losing there way but your complaining Bout a car made in 07/08. Sorry im not buying it. I have a 2008 Gt500 and have 42k on it. Car is in great shape inside and out.

Your 2015 is a supposedly a maintenance waiting to happen. Well if you maintain it regularly you wont have much issues.

If everything was so bad you stated you would have dumped both and jumped on the next band wagon
My wife's SHO will be unloaded around 85K miles. My Mustang will be sold in about 2-3 years when it's no longer needed as a kid car.

The only maintenance that can be done on the things Ford has messed up on these cars is fix on fail.

Put that GT500 outside for the last 10 years. The seats, dash, and general interior pieces would be ready to fall out of that car. And it would rattle like a tank.

There's a reason 05-10 Ford's are non-existent in the marketplace today. They all fell apart and have been scrapped

Put most cars outside for 10yrs in extreme heat and cold. Youll get the same thing. Honda's, Toyota's, chevy, dodge. It doesnt matter the weather takes its toll. You can slow that process down by washing and waxing regularly, inside detailing regular, sun visors ect.

Little do you know. Regular maintenance is key to any vehicle long life. It explains alot when you say your kid is driving the mustang. Kids put a beating on vehicles.

My 01' Tundra has 270k miles on it and the dash/plastics/fabrics are perfect in it. That's after 10 owners, one of which was a cement paver, the other was a young guy that took it off road all the time.

My 00' GT that sat outside for 10 years not running has a perfect dash and plastics and fabrics.

I stand by my statement the quality of materials/build in 05-10 Fords sucks. The 05-10 F150s were the absolute worst.

I looked around my garage this morning and for the first time I realized that ever vehicle I own is from FCA. I hadn't intended to "switch parties", but they just offered exactly what I was looking for, when Ford left me wanting. Legitimately, it dawned on me this morning.. LOL. I have Ford shit hanging all over my garage, but I don't own one.

We have 3 vehicles and are looking to purchase a 4th (mommy missile). The only reason Ford is in the equation is the Sync system. Otherwise we'd for sure go after something else. Ford just doesn't have what we want these days.

If we could get the Raptor running gear in the explorer that would be an absolute shoe in. But the best they do now is a 3.0tt ecoboost. No more 3.5tt. :(

What about the sync do you like?

I have used the latest sync and Uconnect and I prefer the Uconnect.
Would say get the SRT Durango unless you aren't a fan of poor mileage and 93 octane.

Pretty much any modern GUI is going to have carplay/AA built in. I use carplay in the wifes Honda. I don't really care how strong/weak the UI is nowadays on factory system. Carplay fixed most of that

I'd like to know who thought it was a good idea to use a plastic oil pan and plug on the 2.7s... I had it changed twice and the third still leaked. Probably cost ford 10% of what the vehicle was worth with just this one issue under warranty.

I think Ford is spending too much money on R&D. In the end, their products are still no less prone to having issues than any other. Just look at the GT500 and the Bronco. Literally both should have been out no later than 2018. Ho many millions were wasted just to figure out that you can stick a blower on a beefed up Coyote and make it fast? The driving dynamics tuning should have been fairly simple as well. But instead of having guys that KISS, they have people that overthink anything for as long as they can get a paycheck.

I agree. Uconnect is hands down superior to all of the Sync systems I have had, all the way up to 2017. our 2015 Uconnect in my wife's RT Durango is leaps and bounds better. Don't get me started on what is in my 2019 Wrangler. I can't picture a system that is better.

My WRX and Mazda are in great shape with 160K+ miles having been in Colorado sunshine and Wisconsin Winters for nearly 20 years. Just normal kid and use wear, but not literally falling apart at the seams.

Ford made way better cars and trucks in the 90s and 00s. All this new shit is junk. Hell, it took them years to dial in the ecoboost, and even those motors don't last. The old 4.6L can go 300k just like a Toyota motor.

It's all personal preference. I drive a lot of rental cars for work trips and so I've tried every stock system out there, and I genuinely just prefer the Ford Sync system over all the others. Uconnect would be next on my list, with the Mercedes UI absolutely last on the list. lol.

Yes, this is why Tesla has a market cap 4 times greater than Ford’s. They make the quality vehicles, on schedule that everybody wants, small electric $50k+ 4 door finely crafted sedans. And that Cybertruck due in ‘2 years’, much much nicer than that Rivian R1T due this fall, if 1970s sci-fi is your thing.

Ford front loaded the bad news this year. I see Bronco as a catalyst. I also can’t wait for Mach e vs. Tesla model Y head to head comparisons later this year. First real competitor.

I Might be wrong, but when everything is gloom and doom, watching the stock trade the last year, I think 8 is the bottom give or take some change.
