I do have one last request. Please pass this note along to your teams and all our wonderful Ford employees as I unfortunately will not get the chance to say thanks myself. To each and every employee at Ford Motor Company – thank you for all your love and support. It has been an honor to serve with you.

Good luck. Keep in touch.

Thanks.
JOE

I have thoughts I'll keep to myself for the time being.

The QC failure of the new Explorer/Aviator is inexcusable. There is not a single, solitary reason that structural assembly failures, profuse leaks from major power train components or failures requiring the NEW vehicle to be trucked 300 miles to Flat Rock to fix should have allowed production to continue. Stop the line, figure out the failure and then restart.

That is but one example of the Hackett legacy. That fool and Farley need to be gone. Hui Tai Tang needs to be running this ship now that the idiots "retired" Joe Heinrich.

Ford Board Leaves Embattled CEO With Little Room for Error
Farley’s tone may have softened since then, but his drive remains and Ford insiders are bracing for an extremely demanding new boss.
“Farley is very blunt, and I think Wall Street is actually going to like that because it’s such a contrast from Jim Hackett being very indirect,” said Whiston an analyst with Morningstar in Chicago.

Working under a boss high on him self that think Mock-E is the future? Maybe time for a job change? Mock-E slower than Volvo XC40 Recharge, cant tow, cant have a roofrack, no ski hole in the backseat, and only 12mm more ground clearance than Focus Mk4? Thats not what northern Europe want in a SUV. Nobody gives a shit about the "Mustang" in Mock-E. This will be the main familycar, and cant do what a Kuga/Escape can do.

And thus, its why American car companies continually step on their own dicks when it comes to competing in Europe.

Rejected by Wall Street, Ford’s CEO Has Support Where It Matters

“We’re not willing to lose the hearts and minds of our people to have one quarter exceed earnings.”

Ha.

Below $7.50.
"Mulally also bet heavily on small, fuel-efficient cars, which fell out of favor as gas prices abated. Hackett is pulling Ford out of the sedan market."

This was still a good move by Hackett and CAP has been seriously mismanaged and I heard the plant manager was changed out recently. That said, Bill Ford is the centre of all the problems right now.

They better have time machine hiding somewhere.

Ford's problems go far deeper than just a couple guys at the top. It took years to get into this shape, and it's going to take years to turn it around. Unfortunately, if they do manage to right the ship Ford has shown an uncanny ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

I like how they get the right man for the job at the right time and he turns the company around, but as soon as he retires and everyone sings his praises they go right back to doing what was proven to have not worked. On top of that they despise the exec who saved their company and act like his efforts were useless and wrong. Such a clueless band of morons Ford has an abundance of over there.

As much as I would hate to see the day they get bought up, it may be the only thing that will permanently save them from their own leadership.

LOL such a joke.

Give every single one of them a reason and I bet they'd throw each other under the bus.

Ford's identity is dead. They were a 3 legged stool between the SUV's, Trucks, and Mustang. But now even the SUV's quality has gone to shit, F150's aren't fairing much better, and they put a polarizing front end on the Mustang. They just about turned quadriplegic.

I disagree. Cars still sell. Just because one model does not sell half million units is no reason to can it. Does the mustang even sell 100k anymore?
A4/6 bmw 3/4/5/6/7/8 Merc c/e accord civic Carolla camary Charger etc....
yes ford needed to pull back but to have 2 fwd 2 rwd sedans to round off their lineup would help with brand recognition and revenue.
