I hate pavers, for multiple reasons from work to shitty installs at my home(s), but I like the design you picked out.

What thickness did you go with 2-3/4"?
2-3/8". Footers at the street and on the outside edges.
The guys doing it are the best around, and actually a sub for the place I work.

Looking to redo my driveway this year also, currently blacktop. I would like to consider other options to blacktop, ( pavers, poured concrete, etc. ), but wonder if blacktop is the best option for the climate in N.J. ??

Nice lot! The driveway and parking area came out nice. How many acres is your lot?

Thanks Bob, it took me years to finally pull the trigger because of the expense. I was tired of maintaining a gravel driveway, one this big is more work/money than people think.

The lot is 30 acres.

Had a 1500 ft driveway when I lived in SC a few years ago, cheapest blacktop quote was 30k (included two parking areas). Couldn’t afford that much. Did almost half (area with water issues) and regraded and gravel the rest. Was sweet when done but that was a hard check to write. There is guy by me here in TN that has about 1000ft long concrete driveway, I can only guess what that cost.

Driveway looks good op.

Holy crap! I knew it was going to be multiple acres, but wasn't expecting 30. That's awesome! Must be really great having that much land. And here I set on a meager 1/2 acre lot. We're fortunate to have acres of wooden land behind us, but it's owned by the state. The Cheshire prison facility is back there in them there woods although it's far enough where we can't see anything. The woods are a buffer. But, it get interesting when the guards are using the prison shooting range. Sounds like WW3. LOL!

Looking forward to seeing updates, Brad. The stone around your pool looks great.

It's actually 40 if you ad in more family owned property that borders mine, it's definitely nice not having neighbors! Speaking of shooting, the hillbillies in my area shoot all day long, I don't even really notice it anymore lol.

We did ours about 6 years ago, was expensive! I think the driveway and fence was 19k. Rebar isn’t required out here but I requested it. Thought it would be 16”or 24” squared but was only every 36” oh well, better than none. Biggest drawback is the de icing crap they put on the roads eats the cement. It’s so much better than the 50 year old asphalt that was there before! Still worth it! And I added a smile to the first part when you drive in

Did that 6 years ago and it’s still there and yes my wife hated it when I did that

Phase one. I also put the new water line in, but didn’t connect it yet. I wanted a hose on the other side of my garage. Not letting me post the pictures.

The ONLY shooting you'll hear around here is from the prison shooting range. No wooded area deemed okay for hunters in my home town. So it's usually pretty quiet.
