The rest is gone, along with the old culvert. A cable lines that will need to be dealt with if Comcast wants to extend their pipes that run under my driveway, if not, **** them. One is mine, and one big one down where the new culvert is going.

Or sideways? Lol. Progress looks good. Whats the proposed finish date? Will they put a layer of geotextile down prior to the stone bed?

I’m sure it’s operator error. Lol I think a week and a half. Culvert inspections after it’s installed. They did tell me two weeks. Not sure what that is, but nothing going under the base. I guess per the guys I’m getting a 6” base vs the standard 4”.

Geotextile is a woven fabric. Its used pretty often up here on driveways that are just a stone base and paver drives as well. It basically creates a layer to stop your stone base from disappearing into the sub base.

Going to look great when done.
Parts of my driveway are not looking so great, but no so bad yet. Just some low spots, mostly from parking.

How long till complete for the new driveway?

Thanks, really not a issue here. Most of all the new houses here being built are using pavers for driveways.

Two weeks total I guess. Inspections even on a driveway. Got a few cable issues that need to dealt with that I mentioned above.

That geotextile stuff is awesome. Put that down and did 3/4 clean limestone on ours last spring after the shop got done. We have a driveway to the house, driveway to the shop and filled in a circle drive between them. House to street is 75 feet, shop to street is about 85. Spread it with my father in law's Ford 860 and a scraper blade. So much damn fun and holding up well. I just couldn't cut that concrete check after building the shop.

New driveway is going to look great!

I'm so fussy with my vehicles I don't know how people deal without having some sort of hard surface driveway. Not to mention the amount of dirt that gets dragged into your garage and house.

I built a new house about 5 years ago. My driveway is exactly 1/2 mile for the road to my garage. I had the entire thing paved. Wouldn't drive any of my Mustangs up and down the driveway until it was done.

I agree on the dirt. It's a real PITA right now, as we have to walk through that dirt to go in and the garage floor is a mess right now.

New update. Culvert is in, and the new water line I installed is hooked up and no leaks. It’s backfilled too. Note to self, when buy sit from Home Depot check what you grab out of the bins. I thought I grabbed two copper 90’s, but one was a street 90. ****ers. Had the water turned off and needed that to hook up the water. Thanks to my neighbor who’s a plumber for having about 50 of them in his garage. My wife would have pissed of the water was off longer than it was. Lol

Rookie mistake on the fittings!!! Lol! That crap gets double checked. Im at lowes sometimes multiple times a day for different jobs. Also buying multiples of what you actually need is important as well. I can always take the extras back later but having to go back after a fitting blows!

No pictures, but all the Comcast pipes/wires under the driveway have been extended and dug down deeper. Mine and two houses down.
I also put a new 2" pipe under for irrigation or what ever the I need in the future.
