Took some time to put together a synopsis of my track day at Sonoma Raceway. Having both cars has been a blast, and I would consider myself very fortunate. Let me know what you think.

Nice write up and both cars look great. Looks like you had a lot of fun. I wish I still lived by that track I miss it.

Now THAT was an awesome and well written narrative to describe your track experience with both cars. You, sir, are blessed to own both, especially in their modified trim. Gorgeous pair there!

Your last paragraph summary speaks volumes. "I am fortunate to own both cars, but right now I cannot say which one is my favorite: the doctor’s scalpel or the 760 horsepower brute? Only time will tell, as the longer I own both I may favor one more than the other. Both have their merits; both fulfill different needs, and neither car is a disappointment. It is rewarding to work all three pedals in the GT350R, but it is also fun knowing that you can hunt down that Camaro ZL1 1LE that is running on track. So, which one is a better driver’s car? Well, I guess it really all depends on what “drives” you." Thanks again for your track experience tell-all. Motor on in the GT-500 and continue to tell its stellar DCT tickle that inner child in you.

Well that makes it more difficult to choose as I want to shift. But I want the power. Maybe a whipple on the gt350r will be what I’m looking for

Great write up.

Have to say that the more I read about either the more it becomes clear that the true benchmark is the 1 LE. It will beat one and run with the other and can be had for less than either.

Great article Terrence. I bet that Gt500 would enjoy thunderhill even more where it can really shine.
