After searching online for a while I could only find one post with photos for a back up camera install. In that photo i couldn’t even tell which wire was being referred to for the tap. Is this black and pink wire the correct one to tap into? While my car is down for the whipple install thought I’d finally get the wire in so i don’t have to press the button to go into the camera screen.

I tapped in to the reverse lights bulb wire on the tailight light sub harness. If memory serves me my camera had three wires. A positive a trigger positive and a negative. I put the positive in the trigger together and went straight to reverse light wire. Ground to the other wire.

There's only two wires to the reverse light bulb. If you can't find any sort of wiring diagram to say what's what, just use a test light.

Fwiw... with my way, you don't have to worry about any permanently spliced wire. If you decide to move the camera weather radio, the tail light harness as a small removable sub harness located right at the tail light.

That's the one, you can get it from either connector 210 or 214 - they loop together.

Yes it’s a mustang and not a semi. For $30 extra and some extra time, why not add it? Not like I’m going to really need it or use it all the time but sometimes you’re in a shitty parking situation and it just makes life easier. To each their own.
