How come no one uses NT-01?

Oh I use them. Only tire I’m interested in!
I’m at 701rwhp and these have no problems hooking at all.

Interesting. Never had that problem. I had both tires that you mentioned. The compound just wasn't the same. I remember when I had the new nitto drag radials we were tuning my car. even after driving the car to the shop, making three pulls, the rubber was still harder than the mickeys on a mustang that was sitting on a lift for two days lol. My tuner was like, why do you have nittos on your cobra. I wanted to try them but I took them off. They didnt hook that well.

Yeah I wish they wouldn’t keep doing this Bc they hook great.

What about the R888R for the cars making low 600's? I was thinking those for the next go round as I'd like a little handling too.

Yeah. I was wondering about the R888r vs the Potenza Re-71r. Seems like I see the Potenza may last a little longer but maybe not quite as sticky.

A few of the autocross guys around here like the RE-71. But their power levels aren't quite where mine is at.

I have NT01 on the cobra and on my ranger, both get considerable wheel hop but have good grip when warm. I am trying the 888s next

R888R's get good reviews, biggest complaint is they are noisey on the highway.

R888s on everything. 650+rwhp and the proper rear suspension mods. They hook and great for pop up rain showers.

For non DR radials, the absolute best straight line performance tire is the R888R/R888.

And I don't know how they are noisy.
If I steered clear of every part someone claimed to be noisy, my cars would still be stock.

If you want traction but don't want to go the M/T route, check out the M&H Racemaster's. Fantastic grip.
