I miss the old days when we bought catbacks and got everything after the midpipe in one fancy package.

Currently running a Lethal o/r H with factory mufflers, but am ordering the Ford Racing PP axelback.

Obviously the piping between the midpipe and axelback is my question.

Do most of you just retain the factory stuff, or is it worth the 300-350 to replace it.

Just asking because most people only list their midpipe and muffler set up.

Thanks

Holy crap. I was just trying to search for someone who had the 0/r h pipe and stick everything else. Sorry if I’m derailing you a little- but how was the change from stock to aftermarket h pipe only?

Definitely not worth swapping the factory piping out.

Not much change at idle.

Louder and a little “dirtier” at WOT applications.

It is a decent sound. But I found myself a little unsatisfied over a year and a half after 7 years of an O/R H and Borla Stingers on my ‘99.

Unless you’re chasing a number or all the power, the stock 2.75” over axle pipes are fine.
I actually have a set I’d sell if anyone wants them.

stock pipes already dont have resonators like GTs and are 2.75" so not much benefit from aftermarket such as the borla other than they get rid of the crimped sections by the pan hard

I'm running the Lethal pipes, only to keep from cutting up the factory OTA pipes for some modifications to the exhaust. I don't think there is any performance benefit, but I've had better luck fitting a modified system underneath with these pipes.
