Just put a set of PTE 6870's on that I picked up from Tim Oswalt! Will be shooting for 1500+ whp outta this 4.6. Most of the major work is done, but I have a rather large list of piddly things to do before we have a running car, should be fairly soon though. The fab work was done by One Guys Garage in Lakeville, MN. He did an outstanding job and basically rebuilt my turbo kit from the headers forward in just 4 days. To fit the larger turbos with the larger H cover and 3" outlet, we had to push the radiator way forward. Also, with the change to a horizontal core intercooler, he had build a 3" to 3.5" merge which turned out pretty nice.

Some other changes are a freshened up engine by Finish Line Denver/Denny's Racing Engines, additional porting on the cylinder heads, fixed a bent cam and damaged cam journals, GT500 oil pump w/TSS gears, loosened PTC 9.5 converter, and a Holley Dominator ECU to replace the HP. Now that I have a Dom, I am going to add some additional sensors like a pre-intercooler thermocouple and coolant pressure. Will be finally adding a transbrake and bump box too for some dig racing. This car is still a 100% street car, I drive it all over town!

Man that thing is crazy. Wonder if there will be any adverse engine cooling impact with that thick an intercooler. Is there any baffling or boxing in to help with airflow? And I'd love to see the results of the GT500 oil pump. I've been looking at that for my next iteration.

This cooler is only 1.5" more thick than my last one, should be fine! There is no baffling, just a stock radiator and fan behind it. The gt500 pump and TSS gears is a tried and true combo. Should provide great oil pressure and last a long time!

Upgrades! Can't wait to see how it all works on the street.
Man, me too. Can't wait, been down since June. Should be out soon, although it's still winter here in MN.

Just in time for TX2k.
Bummed I can't make it this year. First time since 2015 I haven't been there. Next year for sure.

I'm worried about 6466 and you're upgrading to 6870s? I think Tim Oswalt was running 6466 previous to the 6870s. I'll be interested to see when they light off for you.

Should make all the power.

Those 6466's should work fantastic. But it is always that never ending quest for more power and better performance. I'm betting spool isn't going to be much different, but my looser converter should help get it into the powerband quicker. I have a couple days off this week, I'm going to spend some time in the garage and get a few things done

That looks awesome! Did you say you are running a stock cobra radiator?
