It’s the little bracket looking thing with the hole to access the bolt behind it. The same little piece where the irs bolt goes. I took out the hammer and was getting ready to whack at it but I didn’t want to break anything so I thought I would check with you guys first. I wanted to heat it up a little and then give it a few good whacks to bend it a little

Pictures, good big pictures.
I’d personally have it at a quality alignment shop and consider centering the IRS if the alignment isn’t off.
An alignment may fix the issue if it’s just one side.

I took this picture of the passenger side so I could compare I marked where it rubs. Can I drive it to the shop like that? Would it hurt anything if I put one of the stock wheels and drive it to the shop with one 275 and one 315? Alignment shop is like 5 minutes away. Will upload picture below this post

My only reservations about running spacers is I am afraid that the balancing will be thrown off. Is that an issue? I don’t have any experience with spacers

You might just have a little too much negative camber on that side. If they can set the camber around -0.25 degrees it may clear.

Spacers are safe to use if needed and up to 3/8" thick can be installed with stock wheel studs. It will no longer be hub centric though so vibration is a small possibility. Hub centric spacers start at 1/2" thick but longer wheel studs are required.

I’m going to throw the old wheels
back on and go get it aligned. Hopefully that does the trick

Do NOT drive with two height tires on the rear. Put the smaller ones on, drive to a good alignment shop and see if they can help.
If not you will need to center the irs or use a small wheel spacer. No harm in wheel spacers if they are installed correctly.

survey says?

I made an appointment at Just Tires tomorrow to get an alignment. I will remain optimistic that a good alignment will fix the issue. It rubs just slightly and since i bought the car last year, i have been meaning to get an alignment because that specific side always seemed a bit off to me. Got it late in the year and just stored it for winter without driving it much. I will post an update tomorrow after the alignment. I truly appreciate everyone's help and it was awesome to hear different ideas and experiences.

Update. Got my alignment at Just Tires. They did a great job but it still slightly rubs. Not enough to make noise any longer but I can see the tire touch the metal part ever so slightly when I get under the car . I guess the question now is do I use a 5mm spacer or a 20mm.

Without looking at it the easy answer is to use the smallest spacer possible unless you are going for a certain look. 20mm is over 3/4" dont think you need that. 5mm may work, you just need it to clear

Just placed my order for the 5mm spacer from American Muscle. You're right, I just need the clearance, the tire is already wide enough as it is. It doesnt squeal anymore when i move the car but i can feel it still makes slight contact. I am confident the 5mm will do the trick and the guys at Just Tires did a great job getting everything straight again. Once again, thank you for all the input, i would have been so lost without these forums.

Good, hopefully it does the trick. Make sure to post back with the results. And some pics are always nice!

I ordered some new rotors and brake pads which I should be getting on Friday and the spacers should arrive wednesday or thursday so the install will take place this weekend if the weather cooperates. i did take before pictures with the old wheels and i will definitely take after pics once the setup is complete. Now all that is left is a pulley and a tune and i will have it just where i want it.
