In an effort to maintain social distance, we put the skis in for some light action ... all I can say is wow .. she has really gotten good over the last few years of ridding ... she really can take advantage of her jetski's power now. And considering the chop out there ... she is fearless running those speeds ..

Enjoy ... thanks for watching ...

The skis are SeaDoo RXPX260 and RXPX300. Both have mods, hers has intake, exhaust, cams, and tune, and my 300 has a tune raising the redline. I will be adding more to my ski now lol ... her ski is wicked fast, and we actually changed the pitch on her prop, because it had such crazy topend. The previous owner raced it, so it would do over 85, now it holds somwhere between 72-75 depending on current, wind, ETC. Mine will hit 77, but again, the current and wind play a huge role, as the part of the channel can have a 5-7mph drag.

Here are some pics ...

Very nice.
I have a modded and tuned Yamaha FZS. They’re fun for sure. Be careful out there! Things gets sketchy at those speeds.

72-75mph is moving out! I figured you both were hitting at least 50, but hearing you can reach the 70s is mind boggling. I've had fun on jet skis in the past, but not THAT fast.

Yeah, I remember having the original Waveblaster back in '93, with mods it would nearly hit 50mph!!

Back then it was the bomb!

Nice! I used to have a 2004 RXP, back when 215 hp was crazy power. I had the lightened valve train, OPAS deletes, custom intake, water box delete, loved that thing.

I just got a chance to take my, new to me, toy out this weekend.

It’s a full carbon fiber GPR with a SHO motor conversion. Motor is tame....R&D ECU, R&D supercharger wheel and Riva intake.

Just got done retrofitting the new 2020 pump to it.

Couldn’t make a full top end run as the water kept getting rough and I had to abort but....she goes pretty good with 3/4 tank in mild chop. On smooth water and low on gas I suspect there’s another 1-2mph in there.

Hell thats nothing anymore. Guys are doing turbo conversions or 25+ psi supercharger wheels and getting into triple digit speeds.

Long term, that is what I am going to do to hers, once it has a few more hours, and warrants some time in the shop. My goal is anything over 100, but it will most likely be next summer before that is done.

It’s fun for sure, but definitely have to respect it. I’ve come up on some hard chop going 60+ and almost fallen off a few times.

I've ridden a few race stand ups and one particular Yamaha race ski I rode was quicker than any other sit down on the lake and it topped around 60mph which is absolutely terrifying on a stand up, but the acceleration out of the hole would nearly rip you off the ski and it was a blast to ride!

When this Covid stuff dies down, and things settle out, that is next on our list of purchases. We both want to learn to ride stand ups.
