Hey everyone,
After talking to with some of the terminator guys on Facebook namely Brady I’ve decided to share with you guys a new option for those needing to replace their factory Bosch pump.
I came across the part number for the older design of this pump when researching the 13-14 GT500 pump upgrades. Only one mention in hundreds of threads. That design looked like the factory Bosch pump and flowed slightly more than the GT500 pump.
This new design pulls less amps than the factory pump,is brushless, has run dry protection built into the pump, and flows 27L/min. All for $201 plus shipping, harness included. Now this new design comes with a mount which I’m sure can be made to work in the factory location or someone here can be creative.

I’ve been reading about IC pumps a lot lately. Trying to figure out which to go with as a replacement for the stock Bosch pump. It seems like the important #s are flow (gpm, l/min) at pressure. The 10kPa value at which this pump tested is like 1.5psi, which isn’t much. Wonder how it’d do at higher pressures, and also wonder what kind of psi it’d be pumping against in different IC setups - stock, bigger HE/reservoir, bigger IC core, bigger lines/flow mod, etc.

It looks like it’s a 3/4” ID in/out, which would require an adapter for either stock (smaller) or J2 (bigger) lines. Advantage is that it’d likely work just fine with stock circuit given low current draw.

This could be a good option - I hope it turns out to be because I’m going to give it a shot. It’s also a 3/4” in/out, but the flow rate vs head pressure looks really good for a pump that can fit in the stock location pretty easily. Apparently it’s from MB AMG cars.

Dale, are you going to be trying that pump? If you do, let us know how it works out.

Same question for Phil.

Factory lines are 19mm (3/4”) just like these pumps. The original EBP25 was the Merc. brushless Bosch style pump. This pump should be a “direct” swap minus the mounting of the pump.
Trying to research Info for the factory IC pump is harder than I thought it would be. Trying to get tech specs on the pump may be a challenge; I want to have a direct comparison #’s for people so they have the information needed to make a decision.
If you find anything like that feel free to post it up.

Same question for Phil.

Yes Bob when I install my battery box location IC tank I will get this pump. If the flow is as high as it’s rated it may aerate the stock IC tank badly. That may be some time for me.

I know j2fab now has a 3 gal tank that goes in the battery location and he runs the stewart emp pump, which puts that Davies craig to shame. He had some testing videos of it, the tank definitely needs some good baffling.
Check out his FB page for the videos.

27L/min is only 7GPM.....that is terrible. Keep in mind it is a booster pump, not meant to be used by itself.

Davies Craig does make some really good pumps, if you want their best get the EWP 150. I ran that for a while with good results it flows 150L/min and only costs $185.

As you mentioned the key is how a pump does with higher pressure/resistance (think small factory lines).
For example, the Rule 2000 and common bilge pumps flow great, but only on low pressure systems with big 1-1.5” lines.
The ‘13-14 pump is a great option, and few know Ford only runs it at 50% in the stock application, so wire it with better gauge wire and run it 100%.
Has anyone looked at the 2020 GT500 pump?

I asked about that after Sema last year as they had a GT500 on its site. The pump is a little smaller, but I think the lines are larger. I don't think anyone has any hard data on them yet though.

That would be great—smaller size, larger lines.
I’ll have to look again but @Tob may have pics of the intercooler pump in the 2020 GT500 section.
He and @Snoopy49 are great at finding the part numbers and data on the new cars.
On a higher pressure system that uses OEM lines and fittings, pump selection is key and the ‘13-14 pump run at 100% is hard to beat for the cost, so I’d assume this 2020 will be even better.

Was just under my car with the bellypan off. It is mounted lower than ever before, on the k-member.

You da man, I thought I had seen your photo.
The ‘13-14 is also a Pierburg, so I’m expecting this newer pump to have great potential.
