Just edited and shortened this post cause it turns out was all wrong with my thinking on this, wish I could go back and delete or change title. The stiffler cross mount that came with my magnum kit doesnt take the stock mount at all, so either I have to use the poly bushings that came with the Stiffler mount or get an 03/04 oem mount that came with rubber-----but which one?

I edited my first post because I was mostly all wrong, here is what I should have said/asked-- The Stiffler cross member mount that came with my Magnum kit has its own poly bushings to mount transmission. I want a stock rubber mount and from what Im understanding I need a stock 03/04 cross member mount---but which model had the 6060 or t56 Tremec?

The 6060 never came in the 03/04. So you'd want the T-56. But doesn't the Stifflers mount sit higher than the stock mount?

I dont know, but you are supposed to be able to adjust heights with bushings supplied? What I do know is I would like a stock crossmember/mount that will work with the t56 and from I get so far it has to be from 03/04 terminator or possibly a convertable? The terminator ones are supposed to be hard to get and expensive. Not sure why a cobra with the t56 doesnt work?

There's no difference between the mounts for the hard tops and verts. I've been under both. When I swapped a T-56 into my 01 I used the mount/cross member out of the car the trans came from.

I vaguely remember hearing the 03/04 Cobra mounts are no longer available. I saw where someone mixed and matched a GT mount with a Cobra crossmember. It required drilling some rivets. I don't remind everything about it though.

From what I can tell the GT mount/cross member is the same for all v8 New Edge that came with 5speeds. What model and year car did your cross member come out of? Ive done so many searches about the 3650 to t56 conversion and there is never any clear cut answers about what cross member/mount to use. Guess I could buy a used 03/04 cobra mount/cross member off ebay for around $200 (yikes) and then buy a new 01 mount/crossmember and un-riviet the mount and rivet it back onto the 03/04 crossmember

As a side note for any interested the Magnum transmission were given in part the t56 label but they are really closer to the 6060 but different, so the Magnum is actually just a Magnum, here is a great article explaining all the differences

Yes, the 99-04 (GT, Mach, 99/01 Cobra) cars are the same. I used a crossmember/mount out of an 03 Cobra. When I bought the trans everything was still bolted to it.

Honestly at this point I don't think the headache of tracking down the parts is worth it. You'd probably be money ahead with the Stifflers.

Thanks for reply, you are right--money ahead but I really want a stock rubber mount (as little benefit as it might be)to help avoid any vibration issues, already ordered the 03/04 cobra mount off ebay and bought a new 01 mount off of rock auto, pretty cheap and had my choice of two. Also I was thinking when I cut the rivets out I can probably just bolt the new mount to the cross member

If it all works out I can sell my stifflers to recoup
