Without writing a novel, which one would you rather buy as your weekend cruiser, fun car and why. And why wouldn’t you buy the other?

I admire the power of GT500 and how easily they can be made even power powerful but not sure how durable they are to handle it all.

I admire the technology of GT350, newer car with probably best sounding mustang I have ever heard, but then they are just slow... I mean they run similar times as GTs in a 1/4 mile. Also hard make more power

I have zero interest in 2020 GT500 due to its automatic transmission option only. I enjoy going through gears.

thanks folks

My exact thoughts. Not sure what I'm doing yet. I'm driving my 14 GT500 till I decide.

Two completely different animals. I think the 13/14 GT500 will hold more value in the long run, unless you got a GT350R. I've never driven a GT350 so I can't really comment on how they ride, but my choice is and will probably always be the GT500.

Why even ask this question to a bunch of strangers? Lol

What do you like? Do you want a highway / drag strip monster or do you want a corner / road course carver?

it is that simple.

If you still can’t decide, which one of them do you like better aesthetically?

As a previous 14 GT500 owner, as well as having had seat time in a GT350, I would advise you to buy neither. Go look at ZL1s, as it is the best combination of BOTH (500 and 350). This is unless you are brand biased or dislike the looks.

P.S: I loved my Trinity car and also the 350 I drove, but they are polar opposite. ZL1 is the combination of both.

For me, GT500. Down low torque/power. Easy to add hp without getting expensive.
Styling of 13/14 still looks aggressive/not outdated to me.

I like the 350 too, but I feel like I won't use it to it's purpose and it'll get boring quicker.

I'd lean towards the GT350 because of the much nicer interior (in my opinion). I also prefer the styling of the GT350 just a bit more, modern technology, etc but it's still not an easy decision. The 13/14 GT500 is absolute monster and carries a lot of weight (figuratively). I do prefer the more traditional V8 sound of the GT500 over the GT350, though.

GT350 with a Whipple would be my choice. NA they're kinda weak tho. No one is gonna race their GT350. In fact, I bet 99% of GT350 owners never hit the track. They hit the hi way.

I do think the 13-14 GT500 looks better tho and has proven HP recipes and is a lot cheaper to modify and probably hold its value a little better.

But they're both Mustangs and Mustangs just don't hold their value as there are 10 zillion of them out there. Less GT350's for sure tho but again the NA thing just isn't much to write home about as it lacks power for the money ur spending.

Don’t quote me, but I wanna say there are more 350s than Trinity cars.

I guess I’m a 1% ‘er lol

4 point Watson roll bar plus harness going on mine, got two track events planned so far this year, Watkins Glen and gingerman raceway.

true, no one is going to (drag) race their 350, they will lose, but put it against a car on the track with long straights where you can rev up to 8000rpm and the car will shine, that’s the sweet spot for a 350.

Ok while the 13/14 is just a badder ass more masculine looking car If it were my money I would go with the GT350, electronics package, and a twin turbo. If you're a keep it stock kind of guy get the 13/14.

The S197 has more presence and attitude. You know what it is, you know what it can do, and you know most aren't stock. But the S550 interior and ride + boost is the car I would want to take out.

I really wanted a 350 but got a HC instead. I have a 500 already. As much as the idea of tracking it seemed like a great idea it would not spend enough time to make it worth it. I love the look of the 350 but not a fan of the engine. No torque and having to spin it out constantly would get old. I think they only dyno at 420 or so at the wheel? I suspect a GT pp is a better option for the street. Not to mention the oil consumption issues.

If I were in the market for a track monster now it would be a C6Z or a ZL1 1LE. Shit, I think I would get a SS 1LE before I would get a 350.

The HC is badass period! The ZL1 would be my choice if I wanted an all around car. Handles like a Vette maybe better yet still makes BIG power when a power adder is added.

Well if I could have both I would... Saying that I do prefer the S197 Styling, just looks beefier to me. I do love my 2014 GT, but really wanted a GT500. So if I have to pick only one it will be the GT500.

Had one just about bought, but it slipped through my fingers. It was a 2013, Impact Blue with white stripes, one owner with only a little over 4k miles on it and Ford certified. It was not really my top choice in color, but none of them are bad in my book. It had everything else, 821a, Track Pack, Nav, Premium Sound, White Striped Recaros, and a Glasstop. 100% Stock, no mods at all. Everything just how you want one, and I had them talked into putting new OEM tires on it too. Just could not get it past my CFO (wife). Even at $46,500 it was squashed. Was planning on keeping my Roush and the GT500 too.

But I really want a GT500 in Red Candy, Race Red, or maybe even Ruby...

Some day...

The IRS on the GT350 is tempting, as the SRA on the S197 can be tricky. But at the end of the day I like the S197 styling a bit more and the S197 says ”good old fashioned muscle car” when it rumbles by...
