I committed possibly the gravest sin of SVTP Terminator section - I didn't buy R888R tires. I got a great deal on BFG Sport Comp 2s and so far I really like them. They go around corners noticeably better than the old 555s I had on there and ride very smooth and quiet. Braking is great, tested by a possum sitting in the middle of the road last night. I haven't tested them at WOT yet and can report back for any interested parties.

Yeah I read up on these and it seems a lot use them for autox which is more the feel I wanted out of my car anyways. I never really drag race and prefer taking turns as close to the speed limit as possible

I have the Sport Comp 2s. Low road noise and good looking, but for straight line traction they don't have much bite. Easy to get away from you and my car is bone stock.

My old 555s were 300 tread wear and dry rotted. These are 340 so they shouldn’t be too much different theoretically

What size did you go with? And what is your power level? I was thinking about their 335 for just a driving around tire.

I'm on stock wheels so i just went stock size 275/40/17 so i can rotate them. I'll get a pic later, don't know why i didn't take some when i put them on. I took my wheels off the car and took them to get mounted, then cleaned the crap out of the wheels including the inside barrel so it looks really nice at the moment haha

BFG is a good tire. I've ran them in the past. But when the time comes for more power you'll end up joining either the drag radial or R888R cult.

Oh yeah I don't want to come off bashing the r888r - they are sweet and I will definitely get them if/when I graduate to over 500 whp.

I go against the grain as well, lol. I run 315/30/18 Nitto NT-01's which on paper, are on par and may perform better than the R888R's. Treadwear is 100 so they won't last that long but they hook when i smash it in 2nd. I have had them coming up on 3 years and still look good after 4k miles. No burnouts here, they are so soft it would only take one good one to have to replace them.
