Would you run these old Mickey T's?

General question about these tires I have had sitting in my basement for about 6-7 years. They've been mounted to the wheels since late 2012, I made a few passes on them and a few dyno pulls on them, a little bit of street driving, maybe less than 1500 miles.

Sitting on wood blocks in the basement, typically 55-70 degrees, New England home/conditions. Basement is dehumidified in the summer.

Are these safe to run still? I've read conflicting info online about running tires more than 5 years old that have been sitting. Granted, I see Cobras out there still on the stock Goodyear F1's, and I think my front tires on my Cobra are about 7 years old anyways but have always been on the car. Pictures below, taken before I wiped them down.

Absolutely NOT.

Old tires are not what you want to play with.

No chance, I had a customer a few years back with a blown out tire on her car. Old lady never drove the car, tires were 8 years old but still had 80% tread on them. She was driving at 50 mph, I would hate to see one let go at triple digit speeds.

Welp, I'm glad I asked. Was thinking of sending it at the track this year at 130+ mph.

So... Replace them with what? Toyo R888 R's? :D Or the TQ's?

The R888Rs are good tires. Depends on how much power you're putting down.

Yikes. I would imagine a blow out at that speed would be very bad.

Depending on the tune 650-700 who and comparable torque. Car never sees rain, and only 2,000 a year mileage. Wondering if the TQ is better for my application or if the R's are just as good.

You'd be fine. I ran R888Rs on my ACR at one point and I'm at 640rwhp with no traction control or anything and it was fine.

If you want traction, no. If you just want something to roll on... **** it.
