The base C8 rear axle ratio is already a 4.89 and the Z51 rear end is a 5.17. And people wonder why its quick off the line coupled with low gear ratios and a DCT

Spoke with the manager at Houston Raceway last weekend. Said he has seen a couple C8s brake there diffs already. Hopefully GM has some fixes in order for the Hi Po Z's coming. Still love the C8 and the price point can't be beat. Would love to see the 60k C8 race the 450k GT.

The diff or the axles? For the owner's sake, I hope it wasn't the diff... that's going to be a pricey one.

Not understanding - they ran from a dig, at a drag strip, from the unprepped side of the track?

the red c8 that broke at Houston raceway was a half shaft, but it was during tx2k in march when the track prep is ridiculous
it was also running n20

Yeah. He said there had been a couple. Didn't go into detail on exactly what went wrong. That track is unreal sticky. Great prep by those guys.

I have known J’dub for years, bought his cousins Z06 and helped him cam swap his Nassau blue C5...their prep is unreal, have broken transmissions 60ft’ng there...
