When I was young, I would have gladly taken that verbal beat down vs the many tickets I got. If the punks feelings got hurt, he's someone's bitch!

Lol....could not agree more. Radar just came out when I started driving and I got 23 points in 2 years and lost my license twice for 2 months. But at 17 and my first car was a 1969 GTO Ram Air Judge all I knew was drive it like you stole it. I learned my lesson well in court and did not abuse any cops but still speeding to this day....lol.

Yeah, he got baited, but he also didn't act in a manner that was becoming while in uniform. You're a professional, got to act like it. Some desk time for a couple of months is the worst that should happen to him, but I can't see termination as a fitting discipline. No need for a write up either, just a verbal warning.

I ask you this:
If you're a teacher in a shitty, violent, city school and gets shit on all day every day. Then one day you went off like this, you think they'd keep their job? Why should someone who is better trained for situations like this get off any easier? Maybe not termination but their should be at least a written report. If the kid was speeding give him a speeding ticket, ignore his shit and move on. This seems like a "teach em a lesson" thug tactic never to question a LEO. Granted driver is an douche but doesn't give LE free rein.

Both are fault. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Cop was wrong for threatening, the driver was a prick and should not have provoked.

Ill be honest, i LMAO at this one. Being perfectly honest, the officer should of contained himself. However with the way LEO’s are treated today, I frankly don’t give a shit how he talked to some bernie voting pothead.

That's exactly why the officer and the teacher would get a good tongue lashing from me if they were my direct reports and then tell whoever asked that I was taking appropriate disciplinary measures to handle the situation then let the public chew on me for awhile. I empathize with their situation and as long as they didn't physically assault or violate someone's civil rights, I wouldn't issue a punishment that I honestly felt would far exceed the misconduct. I've lost major contracts because I've had some of my engineers go off on customers that treated them like crap. I've only let go just one because his behavior was repetitive, the rest we move to another project. Like I said, he screwed up, but I cannot see tarnishing his career if it wasn't a repeating problem with him.

Holy hell, I haven't laughed this hard in a long time.
He must be a hell of a dad! LOL

As unprofessional as he was, I also thought it was pretty hilarious. I think I get just as mad, though a lot less animated, at people driving slow in the left lane.

What kind of dummy actually starts messing with a trooper and telling him to pull over, etc? These guys would write their mother a ticket... you can't possibly think it's going to end well.

Amusing video is amusing.

That kid absolutely deserved what he got, but that doesn't mean the cop should of acted the way he did being a professional that deals with the public on a daily basis. I'd call it a push and everyone should go on with their lives. But of course this kid will probably sue, and the liberals in charge in CT will settle. Cop will be reprimanded or fired. All for a few naughty words and harsh tone, and giving the kid exactly what he deserved.

Society today is so pussified.

If he had free reign, man bunned pole smoker would be at the bottom of the bridge right now.

Agree, f with the bull and you get the horns, that's what I was thinking while watching.

Yep, never had an issue with a police officer, gotten out of so many tickets because I respect what they do and i'm thankful they protect us. Everyone is a hero until they are given a cape.

Fair enough, harder to do when it becomes public like this. I get where you're coming from though. Came off like you were giving the officer the pass because "it's a hard job" but if that's truly how you manage, good for you. (No sarcasm)

Right, wrong or indifferent, from a Department's standpoint, this video poses a huge liability if this State Trooper is ever involved in a physical altercation or shooting incident in the future which may result in a Federal lawsuit.

I laughed.

Dude has 30+years of aggression to get out in 18 months.

I'm pretty sure he's beat his wife a time or two.
