I worked the project with my father in-law through the weekend. We completely demo'd the kitchen down to studs and framed it so the electrician can come out. The electrician will be out this weekend to wire 200 amp and rough out the kitchen.
Interestingly, when we demo'd the kitchen walls we realized that the external wall wasn't structural. I purchased the house being told it was a brick facade, it turns out the house is structural brick.
In other news, I also messaged the contractor again that ghosted me and told him he screwed me for 3 weeks of waiting. I also gave him negative reviews on every website I found him on. He reached back out and offered to start immediately, which I declined. I didnt slander him or anything, just wrote exactly what happened.
