Does anybody know what the engine in the 2013 Roush stage 3 premier package can handle? Is it just a stock 5.0 or is it altered at all as far as motor goes? Also, does Roush upgrade the stick 6 speed that comes in the 2013 stage 3 premier package? What is the Tranny capable of holding as far as power wise goes? What is the engine capable of holding as far as power numbers go..... reliably of course. Thank you.

To answer your questions:
Regular Stage 3 cars are stock engines. There are high trims that have the Aluminator engine.
The transmission should be stock minus the shifter, and possibly a clutch.
Transmission is a gamble in terms of what it can handle, but they aren’t the greatest transmissions.
The blower can max out the stock bottom end if it’s a regular stage 3.

Pick your poison.

Motor is a stock 5.0 Also, does Roush upgrade the stick 6 speed that comes in the 2013 stage 3 premier package? No, trans is stock. What is the Tranny capable of holding as far as power wise goes? It's a crap shoot. Really depends on how much you beat on it. What is the engine capable of holding as far as power numbers go..... reliably of course. Reliably with 91, probably 550-600 whp. 600-650 with E85 and a fuel system. Both of which can be hit with the stock bottom end (with minor upgrades for safety) Thank you.

Recon mostly hit it, but figured i'd put in my $0.02

The RS3 (Roush Stage 3) is a Stock GT with body kit (Stage 1), suspension upgrades (Stage 2), and a blower installed (Stage 3). Unless it was custom done by Roush it wont have any other upgrades.

Safety upgrades include but not limited to, Oil Pump Gears, Crank Timing Sprocket, ATI Balancer.
Fuel system (not just a BAP) is required for Reliability IMO, as BAP's can take out fuel pumps rather quickly.

To be the SAFEST, just get a custom tune on what comes stock, and drive it. Stock clutch will hold out for a while, but if/when you need to get a new one make sure you get a sprung hub clutch. It will limit the harsh vibrations being transferred from the engine to the trans, increasing its life. MT-82 is inherently flawed. Shift forks are weak, plastic fork pads, etc... If you ever have issues with it, send it off to Ben Calimer and get his Stage 1 build, and go back to enjoying your car.

Word of advice. There is a point where lots (including myself) wish they never passed. I have gone past the point of no return on my car. Basic power adder and drive it is where i should have stopped, not saying I totally regret how far I've gone, but do miss the ease of jumping in and not having to worry about anything :)

I may be bias, but go with the 13-14 GT with the Roush Phase 3. While I know looks are subjective, I prefer the looks of the 13-14 GT over the 07-09 GT500. Looks aside, the phase 3 GT is just a more capable car while remaining a great cruiser. The only real advantage that GT500 has is that it is a shelby and that the SC wines more. One thing to consider with the Roush unit is that it doesn't wine hardly at all. They say it is because the TVS unit is more efficient so it wines less than some other kits. So if you want a very noticeable SC wine then this unit may not be for you. If you go the route of the phase 3 unit you may also want to consider an aftermarket tune. Roush will openly admit you can get more power from other tuners out there, and the car will run better.

Sorry for dredging up this old post, but I’m late to the party on supercharging.

Exactly what fuel pump would you recommend to replace the stock pump and eliminate the Roush provided voltage regulator?

Sai li makes a very budget fuel system. Lethal performance and jpc make a budget fuel system. Or fore innovations makes a real fuel system.

Thanks, I wouldn't exactly call any of them cheap, but I get your point.

Hopefully I won't have any issues with this for a while. I need to financially recover from the install before I start on upgrades again.
