Can anybody tell me what the correct computer code for a 95 R is? The first digit of my door jamb sticker is missing. Looks like it says X2A0 or XZA0. Thanks.

Chris - I have a part number that is listed in my Dearborn Assembly Plant - 1995 Cobra R Add/Delete list dated 2/9/95.

It lists a F5ZV 12A650 AA EEC-IV Processor w/Unique Calibration.

The above listed part is 95R specific. It is listed as replacing the base Cobra's F4ZF 12A650 JB processor as part of the 95R build.

I just went out and looked at the drivers door jamb on my 95R. I do not see any "X2AO" or "XZAO" on the calibration sticker or on the sticker with the build date and VIN. There is an F5Z number on the calibration sticker and some other letter/number combos.

Chris, ZA0 is the correct computer code for the 95R. I have the ZA0.bin file and I can send you a copy if you need it.

Todd - Is this code on the door jamb calibration sticker or just on the ECM itself?

Thanks, Robert

I took the car to our local Mustang shop run by a guy who was a Ford tech for 10 years, but it's first time working on an R model. It's throwing a code indicating an EPROM error, so we're trying to determine whether I have the correct computer and whether it's been flashed before. The car was fairly heavily modified with racy parts but done poorly - wrong combination of parts and assembled incorrectly. It's my belief that the computer has probably been modified as well. When we pulled it out, the gray plastic molding around where the main harness plugs into the ECM has a crack in it like it had been dropped, but it is labeled #86 in yellow marker on it, which is the production number of my car.

So I think I have a 95 R computer of unknown physical condition with an unknown calibration. The car hasn't been right since I bought. Since I can't go down to Autozone to get a replacement ECM, I'm wondering what my options are. Can I get a TwEECer R/T and load the correct .bin file or an SCT flash? Other ideas? I was under the impression that it was primarily just chips vice flash software available for the EEC-4 ECMs.

Todd, could you please resend the ZA0.bin file when you get time? Please send to [email protected].

Henry, is the SCT Pro Racer software package you're using laptop-based or a hand-held flash-type programmer?

As always, any advice is greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Chris

Chris, yes you can load the .bin file into the TwEECer and run your car with that. This is infact what I have done with my car. I have loaded a stock ZAO.bin file, a 95 IMSA R file, a 95 IMSA R file with lowered rev limiters, and a 95 IMSA R file with lowered rev limiters and idle characteristics into my TwEECer. I use the switch to run the program that is best for my driving conditions at the time.

Sorry I haven't sent the file to you yet. Things have been crazy here... I'll try to get it out to you tonight.

I know this is an old topic, but was wondering if you still had the ZA0 bin file still, and if I could get it from you please? You can email me UNTAMND @ gmail

Thank you
