Upgrading the cooling is not simple. I live in Houston so more boost does not equal more sustainable power.
So your just talking heat soak, and lucky for us today, the ECM's are smart enough to pulling timing when IAT's get crazy. So a turbo being easy, no way, but if you want a "better" intercooled solution, your looking at a Prochager style like you mentioned.

It is pretty simple. I am in Orlando and upgraded the radiator and heat exchanger with C&R units along with a 2014 GT500 radiator fan and F150 Ford tank for the intercooler fluid. You can also upgraded the IC brick under the supercharger pretty easily if you want. Zero heat issues here and I have been in traffic in the middle of summer all over Florida.

Air to water intercoolers are quite efficient but I'm real skeptical of a guy wanting to go from a roots blower to a turbo setup to make things less complex lol

For me it's not a matter of having the fastest car - it's a matter of the car I like. The Camaros, Challengers and Vipers etc are all cool but I always wanted a Shelby. The GT500 is where my heart lies. I'd love to have a car that runs 9s and handles like a go-cart but it's not realistic for a car I want to drive regularly and occasionally take across country. A lightly modded TVS GT500 works for me. Just personal preference. Get whatever makes your blood rush and enjoy it.

I think that's most folks. But if your running in a crowd with fast cars, it's makes you want to go to that next level. Fast cars are like an addiction, it's easy to want more.

it can be if you don't have a very specific vision.

I usually question this when people say they have no issues. It is usually because they do not know they have the issues due to lack of logging or looking at the data.
Trust me, the hotter that bay gets the less power you are making. I have made 5lbs more boost in my car and at times seen less power than with lower boost. Spin em hard and they make lots of heat.
Sitting in traffic and changing radiator fans isn't really anything to do with heat soak and having to do with power. Make a pull and watch IAT, then make another pull and watch IAT, then make another and tell me the car doesnt feel down quite a bit of power.

This. Mine never runs hot according to the temp gauge. Because the ECU is cutting tons of timing to compensate.

He made it sound like heat soak would be an issue daily driving in Houston. It would not be. I doubt he is racing on his daily commute. And I mentioned a tad more than just changing radiator fans. Apples and oranges......racing vs daily drive.

not sure why any of that is even a question for a daily. Stock cooling system is more than fine for a non ragged out boosted to the hilt car that gets raced.
He made it seem like he likes to mod heavily. Most people are dailying these esp when modded heavily.

I’ve been taking many more extended drives (30-40miles round trip) in mixed traffic to find areas to address to make the car fool proof for huge power and street ability.
There will always be compromises with a manual trans and 1000+rwhp but I’m impressed with how driveable these cars can be.
Negatives so far...rear suspension noise and belt dust.
I’m working on these, but to be able to jump in the car and rip off 9s as it sits, as well as sit comfortably in the Recaros with a glass roof and AC while cruising to work, not much to complain about.
I still rarely if ever turn on the radio :)

You want to dump the platform, get a 2018+ GT and get the Odin kit from VMP. Cooling for days, easy "safe" 850hp at the wheels stock block with the potential to go north of 1000WHP on a built bottom end. Get good money for your GT500, roll it into the Gt and the ODIN kit which is pretty complete at $8500 American dollars... and you'll be sitting pretty.

Again, if you’re going for power only, the answer is yes, the GT platform is the better starting point.
But then you have a built Mustang GT, not significantly different than many other modded Mustang GTs.
So, as usual, determine your true goals, your reasonable budget and go from there.
